Well, since my opinoin has no effect on the IIHF, I guess we have no choice but to accept the result. I know it sucks but what can you do?
Sadly this is the most mature post you've made all day.

What's really sad though, is that you joined HF in 2005. Assuming you were at least 12 when you first joined, that puts you at least in your mid-20's. This is pretty pathetic behavior from someone who should know better.

if my oilers miss the playoffs, I wouldnt mind getting him just to see a Tkachuk vs Tkachuk matchup 5 times a year.
Chris Kreider is out for at least couple of months if not rest of the season with his injury - so in our division it will be difficult - maybe near impossible to replace Kreider so it will be rough to qualify for playoffs this season unforuntaely. And we have too many road games in the next couple of months. :)

Canada played like crap, USA played pretty decent. This actually gives me relief considering we'll have Denmark and Swiss/Belarus to work on things. USA might get Russia or Sweden in the quarters

You would have celebrated if Canada won and you know it.
We absolutely would of, but we werent posting with our team down by 2 goals saying this game meant nothing, and all of sudden his team wins, the game matters again.

And for the record, as soon as the game got to OT the game didnt really matter for Canada.

Would of been nice to win just to watch Atticus Flinch/Human Bean disappear

it doesn't... if we win out, we win the group.
Ya but its just groups, just like you guys saying this win doesnt mean anything , neither does winning the group... just an easier first round.

Hell if usa wins out the rest of tournyment they win gold /shrug

lol canada lost despite the gigantic advantage of playing in terrible conditions. playing in snow where everything has to be slowed down always works out better for the lesser talented team. this is a 7-3 win in an arena for the USA

There is a video on YouTube where you can hear the golden goal in different languages. Cool.

sorry I didn't read this post, don't mind my first post.

Yes, that's okay. I was like...but I agree with u haha. I probably just worded it poorly. I like our chances. Gg to the us. Thread is becoming toxic, so I'm out

Yeah, it really worked out for the faster team to be slowed down due to the 2 inches of snow on the ice.

You guys couldnt even beat Slovakia in an arena, and you think you would win 7-3 against Canada?

In men’s ice hockey? Doubt anyone in Canada will be watching, same goes for the States I’m sure

USA was the better team here but it’s tough to gauge off a game like this. Hope to see a rematch in the medal round

Me too. I have nothing against outdoor games but let's not have such an important game in the snow.

Well its true lol just like last year’s shootout

Meh, a loss is a loss. Maybe things will change in the medal round, if not I don't think the Americans give a crap about how they beat Canada. You can bet the Canadian forwards don't feel like it's any less of a loss either.

This board gets nasty sometimes.

Sooo... Canada lost vs the US for the 7th time in a row or something with their backup goalie and US back to back games? Shows we should have more respect for the other teams, too many of us here think we're still the hottest shit ever. Only one gold in the last 8 years. All that said, I still believe Canada will get to the finals fairly easily now, and against Sweden... who knows.

Backup goalie should be used pretty loosely here.
