He was one of the top D-men in the CHL. I'm not taking anything away from Dahlin. Some people here have him on a pedestal and I guess having a difference of opinions is a crime. lol Dahlin is a very complete player, much like Murray was. I don't see that as an insult to either players. NHL teams desire that especially from 17 year olds who are about to be drafted. I guess people here get triggered too easily.Big difference between juniors and the third best league in the world.
He is a #1 Dman and arguably one of the best ~5 Dmen in the SHL at 17.
Ryan Murray was not one of the best ~5 Dmen in the WHL at the same age.
I said he's very well balanced. He has all plus tools. Not one thing in particular jumps out. He's good at everything. I'm sorry you can't comprehend.Jack of all trades??? Nothing really stands out?? Go hide.

Murray has always had a very limited offensive skillset aside from his skating. Dahlin has a hard shot and much, much better offensive instincts than Murray ever projected to have. The game was going at 50% pace most of the time so I find it hard to read very much into it.
I never compared their offensive abilities. I complimented their completeness as players. Ryan Murray was touted as having great offensive abilities except coaches felt more comfortable playing him in a defensive role because he was extremely reliable. I don't know why people are getting all up in arms for. Ryan Murray went 2nd overall and is still a great player. He hasn't lived up to the hype but the hype he had as a 16/17 year old prior to his draft was very real.He was only named to the 2nd divisional All-star team in the WHL that season... he was very mature for his age... but for sure had no-where near the offensive skill-set Dahlin has.
Feel like a lot of people were pretty quick to judge Nylander
Good to have this one over and done with. No injuries and our top players produced. That's about it.The game was going at 50% pace most of the time so I find it hard to read very much into it.
Missing BrannstromDahlin, Andersson, and Pettersson clear standouts. Soooo much skill
