I am open to moving anybody, including Weber and Price, but I know MB won't so I stopped making proposals involving them.

No one should be an untouchable if the right trade or player is being offered.

It depends what we are offered. He is UFA in two years and Julien does not seem like a fan so I don't expect him given a fair chance to develop his game here. That being said if we do trade him it would require to fill a need.

I agree a trade involving Chucky has to be to fill a need. Same with Patches. We can't toss away assets like we did with Sergachev without filling a hole or getting a prospect to build the foundation

Any player should be up for grabs if they could help us get a top center and that includes Drouin, Weber, Carey and our 3rd overall pick. But no team is going to trade you a young #1 center for them.

And if you're not getting a potential top line caliber center back for Galchenyuk then there is no value in dealing him in a lateral move as we'd also be bad on the wings now.

There is no guaranteed top #1C in this draft. So I disagree about trading any roster player. Patch or Petry, yes. No way I would trade Weber for Kotkaniemi. Maybe 12 months after the draft once you see what he does at age 18 or 19 But it would be a package deal. They are no MacKinnon

And once you see what he does, hes not getting traded... you have to give to get

Id do it 25 times because theyll use Galchenyuk at C and then Bergevin will look like a ******.

I am absolutely counting on it.

Of course then I will anguish about it for years as will we all, about how we had a top 6C, but just wouldn't play him there. Houle was a terrible GM and remembered as such, if MB keeps screwing it up he will be the most hated GM in our history. Houle was not competent, a big part of MBs problem is his personality (( disorder) ie ego ).

Young #1 center, as in not just from the draft.

I liked the trade and I knew we were giving up a really good defenseman. I still like Drouin in our lineup and how he would fit if we address the holes in our lineup. Not saying I take Tkachuk over Zadina, but I really do think Tkachuk would fit well with Drouin
Tkachuk would look great on Pittsburgh, Tampa and other great offensive teama

You've been a consistent fan of the guy for the whole year, to the point where you're really selling me on the idea of getting him with one of our mid-round picks. Our WHL dman all had decent to very good 17-18 so we might be on to something there. If we do end up picking him I'll think of you for sure !

If he's still there we should take him with one of our 4ths. If Everett makes the Memorial Cup and he continues his great performance I'd even be in favour of using our 3rd on him.

Short of getting a 1C, he is without a doubt my favorite going in the 2019 draft. Insanely dynamic.
Actually think he could make the transition to C, he already controls the ice like one and is a force along the boards.

One doesn't have to be a center to control the ice and drive play. That's a misconception.

Big fan of Kakko too and if he does make the switch to C I could see him challenge for the top spot, and thats no slight to Hughes.

3rd overall 2019 would have been so much better than 3rd overall this year. Hopefully, we can get another high pick next year.

No they do not, I think most people are quite aware of that. I.E. Kucherov.

I would have no issue drafting him as a winger. Kakko has nonetheless shown alot of features in my opinion that could potentially help him make that transition should the team that picks him decide to try it.

Hughes looking good again against the big boys today!! Picked up an apple!!! Do you think fourth round would be too much of a reach....:sarcasm:
