You know like the dodgers did…..

There was no reason to make that trade at the point they did other than for some inexplicable reason this front office likes Straw.

To be fair, they've been underperforming even compared to the worst posts here.

KK (redundant because of Varsho), IKF (redundant because of Clement/Espinal), Vogelbach (actually inferior to Horwitz) made 20M last year. That's the same as Chapman or Teo's year. Or, that could have been Manea and Pham.

My 97 year old grandmother who's never watched an inning of baseball in her life has more answers then Atkins.

The problem with Atkins is that he doesn't have the intelligence, knowledge, judgment, etc to know who to go after. You have to discriminate who you're going to go after or you end up looking like a fool and embarass yourself, your team, and your city.

He's like the nerd who has wads of cash, flashes it in front of every pretty girl he meets, thinking that'll make her overlook the massive acne on his face. Oh they may string you along, use you even, but in the end they'll break your heart cause they don't want your money if it means getting in bed with you.

Players see this organization for what it is...barren farm system, poor offence, last in the division, bonehead management decisions in playoffs, can't sign players they've developed, etc. Atkins is an arrogant idiot who thinks he's the smartest executive in baseball. And you want superstars to sign here? Not even if the cash you offer them is more than the competition. Sorry nerd.

Be an adult and stop whining. Would you rather I just join the masses and started complaining? What about when they signed Ryu or Springer or Gausman or Bassitt. Do those signing matter or were they incompetent? Or the flavour of the month.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day. The string of missteps far exceeds those four moves, particularly in the past few years.
 
Atkins should have been fired years ago after the playoff collapses. He is an incompetent GM and has ruined this team. When Vladdy and Bo walk for nothing we will be in another rebuild and hopefully the Shatkins era comes to an end.

I hope you're right but I'm not sure Rogers will see it the same way. After all, any level headed owner who knows anything about baseball would have fired his ass years ago. I'm afraid they'll leave Shatkins to take care of the rebuild and then we're screwed for another decade. That'll mean that the next time the Blue Jays win a WS I'll be at Sunny Acres
