If Montreal had pick 3 last year, who would they have taken? My guess is Glass.

It would have been either Glass or Pettersson. Those guys are absolute studs and they are both center prospects, though I wouldn't be super surprised to see Pettersson play wing.

That’s why I figured the pick would be Glass since he has ideal size and is also RH. Man that would have been nice.

Zadina is a higher graded prospect than either Glass or Pettersson were. Though I get the logic of drafting the C if we had the pick...

Part of me thinks Bergevin would've taken Vilardi but I'll say Pettersson so I can feel better heading into the draft.

Yeah.. I don't really see Zadina being rated over the big, right handed C who nearly had 100 pts in the WHL in his draft year or the supremely talented Swedish kid who was putting up ridiculous numbers in a mens league and then just went out and broke more records this year.

Any GM selecting Zadina over those two are as stupid as the two groups that took Heiskanen and Makar over them.

Feels bad man.

Watching the progress of Jesperi Kotkaneimi over the season, one has to get the feeling he is following the path of previous Top Center prospects 2010 4th OV Ryan Johansen & 2011's 7th OV Mark Scheifele. I see the Habs taking Kotkaneimi @ 3rd OV bypassing RW's Zadina & Wahlstrom, & RHD Boqvist, in favor of the long awaited possibility of Our 1st line center. Nevermind chancing that any of the other teams will pass on him gaining the Habs a fifth - 2nd rounder, greed will not work in our favor here. Kotkaneimi Or Svechnikov, depends upon Carolina's bias about Russian players. Either way the Habs get stronger, without losing assets. Unless Buffalo balks at Dahlin and trades down with the Habs, to grab Kotkaneimi & assets. Go Habs Go!!!...:devdance::devdance::devdance:

If Kotkaniemi could fly, I'd consider gambling on him at 3. But as he is, no way. I really don't view him above that Poehling level.

I'd be ok with this personally.

In the end, i don't think this draft is as good as it was hyped to be. Amazing top 2 but between 3-10 then 11-15 is a cluster of players.
