Trading down (38 and 62) would be very possible to get Sandin (27 on BM list). He would be my target to trade down. Either him or Dellandrea but I rather acquire a potential Grade A LD in Sandin... especially if we draft Kotkaniemi. Options with acquiring a LD with upside in the 2nd round seem very limited.

- Swap 3/5 picks for the Coyotes 2019 2nd.
- Trade 38 and 62 for 25-30 ish (Sandin)

5th: Kotkaniemi
25-30: Sandin
35: O'Brien
56: Wise, Hillis, or Hallander
66: Fortier

They're in Europe or the BCHL. Ragnarsson being unranked is a pretty big opportunity IMO. If we could snag him with a 4th I'd be over the moon.

Tkachuk is going to be a beast. That said, not who I want at 3. But in a few years it'll be clear that he was ranked this high for a reason, he's got it all.

There is almost a 100% chance that Dahlin, Svechnikov snd at least 1 more defender ends up better than him long term. Some guys lower down always raise there stock as well so I wouldn't be so sure about that.

Though I'm fully expecting Kotkaniemi to be the pick at 3, Zadina, O'Brien, and Beaudin would be my targets with our 1st and 2 early 2nds.

A pretty telling detail.
Five of 10 scouts surveyed by TSN ranked him outside their top five. Five scouts had him in the top five, including three of them at No. 3, but he had three 6’s, a 7 and a 9 as well. That’s a far cry from the mid-season polling, when all of Zadina’s marks came in between 2 and 4.

“I don’t think Zadina necessarily did anything negative as much as so many others stepped up their game,” a scout said.
