So you wanna move back from 3rd to like 10th for the sake of another 2nd???
A high second, not one that borders the third round.

I’d rather pick Kotkaniemi and aquire another high second with the Toronto pick plus our third pick or a redundant assetA high second, not one that borders the third round.

That's why they are never wrong I guess....I won't disagree with you. NHL scouts do have a clue though.
We likely won't do it, but the list strengthens my belief in the viability of moving back, taking Hayton and picking up another 2nd-rounder.
No surprise to me he rose in the rankings yet again.

We would have to get A LOT more than a 2nd rounder to move back from #3.
I'm down for whatever the market is or greater.
Well, I'm glad you are in charge of negotiation!!
Seriously though, have a look at historical values.... the prices are high. Also there is no way I trade out of a chance to get a Dobson or Kotkienemi for Hayton.... I don't do it unless you are giving me a game breaker type of player on top which won't happen so my answer is no.
So either a second liner or a future star traded for a washed up vet? This reminds me of the Mcdonugh year a lot... everyone knew we loved him. He was moving up but people still didn't believe... then we took him. I hope Kotkienemi is as good as McD
Unfortunately it also reminds me of the Kostytsyn year....
He was talking about Kravtsov when he said physical actually. Not at all. Hallander gonna prove the scouts wrong. That Allsvenskan production and his skill set is bueno.
Funny part is Bob said physical winger Denisenko. So clearly some dumb scouts were interviewed
How likely am I to win this wager?
Boyle wins the Masterton
Gallant wins the Jack Adams
Barzal wins the Calder
Hayton gets picked before Farabee
Kotkaniemi gets picked before 9th overall
Veleno gets picked after 12th overall
Zadina has average skating and so do most of the prospects in the top 10 other then Svech, Boqvist and Hughes. Kotkaniemi is great in other ares though. Plus the picks that turned out to be busts were not made by TT. In TT we trust. You should know that already!Someone is going to have to explain to me why we are considering picking a player with "average skating" at third overall? Has Lindsay Vallis, Eric Chouinard, Brad Brown, etc,. etc. not thought us anything? They say that the sign of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting different results. In the case of Montreal's drafting history, it is a sign of incompetency. If it was my decision , my simple question to the scouts would be: can the player under consideration's skating ability allow him to be an impact player at the NHL? If there is any equivocation in the response, then pass, pass. Let some other team spend a high draft selection on an 18 year old player who they hope will one day be able to develop greater skating ability. There are several wonderfully talented skaters in this draft. It would be a shame to waste this great opportunity to add a potentially dynamic player to the team on any player that one can only hope will achieve that impact.
I’d rather pick Kotkaniemi and aquire another high second with the Toronto pick plus our third pick or a redundant asset
Personally I'd go:SO......
Following Mac's ranking, who do you like at 35, 38 56 & 62????

I don't trust Timmins at all with first round picks, he has lost that benefit long ago.
