Gotta prepare ourselves, we might truly pick Tkatchuk.

So it was basically preventive?

No, he probably had palpitations during testing (or felt awful), they ran an EKG and found it. The ablations a cure. The european docs werent convinced he had it though. Dunno if he had the procedure done in the CR, but Id trust US docs over them. They're incredibly underpaid and have had a signififant exodus of their MDs over the years.

If we don't take the tall center it's just stupid by this point.Fck Zadina or any winger.Take the tall center.20+ years and counting without a real center.

If all you have to offer is an argument of authority, please stop wasting everyone's time. We know the concensus ranking we don't need you to tell us. It's a discussion board where we share our opinions....

I compared Bob's list with the consensus from 16 other online sources. All but two of the top 80 were on his list. (Khovanov and Roman absent)

Some notable risers:
Pretty much all the goalies - not many other sources value goaltenders
Foudy
Kaut
OBrien
Johansson
Madden
Dostal
Harris
Gross
Romanov

Some notable droppers:
Hallander
Tychonick
Olofsson
Berggren
Dudas
Wise
Hillis
Gustafsson
McShane
Fonstad
Kurashev

He also said it is extremely close this year between 20-65... more so than most years...

I tend to try and trust Timmins. He does well I think with top end talent that he'd see a lot. So be it if they take Kotka. It worries me and feels like a panic move, but what can you do.

I am 100 percent convinced that we will end up with Kotkaniemi or Dobson and no one else. Just trade down to 5, grab an extra 2nd and pick which ever is available.

Won't happen but...

We take Kotkaneimi, then, after spending the next few days of this week discarding a couple of guys non-essential to our long-term future, Bergy then has another first and a total of six 2nd-round picks, current four and two more.

Draftniks of other teams, I can see the hate.

That's not the problem.

There are a couple of problems. His defence , or lack thereof, and whether he is a nut. If he can play wing his lack of D isn't anywhere as much of a problem, since, you know, he wouldn't be a defenceman. So one issue somewhat addressed, the nut part question remains.

Yeah, might make me look like a genius, or a donkey.

I went for the guys I liked, whom I'd like to have on my team and the guys I would put my job on the line if I was a scout. I wouldn't for Kupari or Bouchard, for example, so they dropped big time.

Taking a centre when it's probably not the BPA isn't a panic move?

BPA is a weird term. What does it even mean? At what point does position come into play? Are you denying the higher value of players in relation to their position and play style? Kotkaniemi checks more value boxes than anyone save Dahlin in the draft if youre honest. Hes big, a center, controls the play, can play any role on your team and hes able to score goals. Was PLD over Puljujarvi a panic move? Was Scheifele over Couturier a panic move?
