At 16-17:
Hc pardubice u20 : 20gp 9g 9a 18pts
Hc dynamo : 25gp 1g 1a 2pts
Wjc 18 : 5gp 3g 3a 6pts
U18 (all) : 22gp 20g 11a 31pts

At 17-18:
Halifax 57gp 44g 38a 82pts
Wjc 20 : 7gp 7g 1a 8 pts

We know he did 44g 82pts in 57gp. Nico hischier did 38g 86pts in 57gp.

Not To bad for a first year on nord america ice???

Whatever he did, it pales in comparison with several posters in this thread who have had Kotkaniemi for the 3OA slot for quite some time now, way before these new quotes by BobbyMac.

So these scouts he is talking to are scouts affiliated with NHL clubs? It is possible scouts are toying with Bobby Mac, it could definitely work to the advantage of everyone after the third pick

He did actually. 25 games at the age Kotkaniemi was this year.

Edit: Got beaten to it. Added he thinks it's not that he's done something bad, just that the center(s) and dmen have stepped up.

Younger is not very important for me :)

Whats is important is the skills of the player: stickhandling, skating, shot, vision etc

Btw... i dont want To start a war... should we pick Zadina or Kotka! I just hope Canadien scout pick the bpa at 3.... if Kotka is the bpa , then i am very with the pick, but if they pick Kotka at 3 because he is C and he is #5 on their list... thats wrong :)

Feels like Kotkaniemi has vaulted because of the Habs need for a centre. He is only recently being mentioned as the best center in the draft, it just seems like quite the leap for me...

Zadina was ranked two or three all year and now he might drop out of the top 5?

That's just wrong. Kotkaniemi has made drastic improvements since the start of the year, and the u18 was an excellent example of that.

I don't mean collution, I think just the recent buzz about kotkaniemi and the Habs being interested has vaulted him

JK was always the best C in the draft, well, maybe since febuary.

Kotkaniemi was rated as the top centre all year and a top 5 pick?

Got no issue with picking him, none at all but he has clearly vaulted in the last couple of weeks, lets be real here
