Svechnikov had 10 goals and 4 assists in his first 10 games pre injury. 1 goal and 2 assists in the 3 games he came back before Luchuk arrived.

Was the rest of the season really a "hot streak" that coincided with Luchuk or just development? If you're calling the rest of the season a hot streak you are basically saying his goal per game start to his OHL career was the low point. In which case he blows Zadina out of the water.

I would of loved to see the Russians used Svechnikov more. Svechnikov is the legit #2 guy but it's pretty much about 44 games he dominated. Zadina was good everywhere he played last year and it's worth taking note of. I was always torn on the gap between these two. Your gap may be huge, mine is not as huge.

It's ok to have different opinions on these boards. Don't let it get to you and resort to levels that some go to. If you are right later on about your opinion, rub it in peoples face. But also be prepared to have it thrown in yours if you are wrong.
It's not an opinion.

Svechnikov played very well in his given minutes at the WJC. Sure Zadina showed more but he also had Necas who was arguably even better than Zadina.

So what we are comparing is an amazing regular season where Svech was almost a goal per game and a solid WJC where Svech got 4th line minutes to a very good regular season by Zadina and a very good WJC but he did have a top centre on his line. Now if we go to the eye test, Svech is better in almost ever single facet of the game.

Zadina also played very well in the prospects game... like I said, he played very well everywhere he played this past year. It's worth taking note of. And like I said, I wish the Russians played Svechnikov more in the U20

Exactly, if that excuse is relevant to Zadina at the WJC it should be relevant to Svechnikov in the OHL.

I already have said I'd take Svechnikov due to his dynamicism and upside. Just I wouldn't be shocked at all of Zadina ends up the better the player.

Interesting that the smarter, more physical player with the better skills, better shot, higher compete doesn't have the same ''upside'' or ''dynamicism.''

I guess you just put more emphasis on the prospects game. I really dint think scouts put any weight in it though.

So, a buddy of mine got the Recrutes guide and he sent me some screen shots in which it's completely obvious that Grant is referencing himself as "one scout told me"

As they are verbatim quotes from his own twitter account lmao

What if he was quoting those scouts on Twitter, passing their opinion as his own?

Do they have Svechnikovs skill level and production? Dude, it isn't that complicated to get.

You were just arguing that Zadina has a higher skill level than Svechnikov and that Zadina's production, when taking into account his linemates, is every bit as good as Svechnikov's. Not only that but he's physical and competes.

Don't just be ''not surprised'' if Zadina becomes the better player. Say ''I told you so'' and rank him 2nd. Hell, rank him first since you know Dahlin's going to get outproduced by Hughes in year 1 anyway.

You're being purposefully obtuse. You know it, I know it, so just stop.
