Just realized im not gonna be here for the draft... FFS. Ill be in a cabin with friends... this is the worst decision ive ever made.

There are a few in this thread that say the difference between Svechnikov and Zadina is not substantial.

Outside of a very few posters, no one from the mainstream sources.

Theres one scout that had Zadina at 2 but I cant remember exactly, might have been Button.

Edit: But theres more people that have Zadina at 4 than Svechnikov falling to two.

Cam Robinson from Dobber has Hughes ahead of Zadina, Svech at 2.
NHL central has Tkachuk ahead of Zadina, Svech at 1 for NA.
Kourianos has Svech ahead of Dahlin, Zadina at 3.
Marek has Zadina at two, Svech at three.
Button has Tkachuk at 2, Svech 3, Zad 4.

Why ? And who do you think the Habs pick?

Both have defensive issues, i think teams are probably gonna be weary of how Hughes handled himself at the combine, that and his lack of size make him a likely drop candidate imo. Bouchard is a real question mark for me because i have no idea how his skillset is gonna translate to the NHL. His decision making is off (positioning in particular), he has weak acceleration/first few steps (he tends to get beat 1v1 quite a bit which is worrisome). That said both obviously have high offensive upside.

In regards to our pick, if Svechnikov isn't available i'd trade down to #11 + #12 + #41 (Isles picks, obviously assuming that they're interested). I'd pick Smith + Farabee at those spots (11/12).
