it's funny to think, but interviews really do play a huge role in where a guy is drafted and how they end up developing but us as fans have no frigging clue other than hearsay....

Because that's not how scouts think. Tkachuk is a heck of a prospect, despite what posters here think. If Zadina goes 3, I imagine Tkachuk goes 4 to Ottawa and he's going to be a thorn in our side for a decade

Rave reviews on Drury's interview, definitely in agreement with their assessments that he does a lot with limited tools. 2-4th round in the quotables.

Those are possibilities, indeed.

This draft is weird, 1-2 are pretty much set in stone, then potential drops a bit, but for many picks after, quality is essentially similar.

It's cause the draft is deep. Same as the top 10 in 2016. Take your pick cause there are plenty to choose from. I do admit it looks like Zadina is a notch ahead of some but I value Dobson, Walhstrom, and Kotkaniemi the same. I like Boqvist a lot too. Tkachuk, Bouchard, Hughes are my 8, 9, 10 ranked players. Blue jackets took PLD at 3rd in 2016 when he was typically ranked top 5 somewhere. Most had pool party in the 3rd spot.

Quotables on SDA are not good. Main issues are his skating for his size. A bunch of quotes said he and no Pete's were on their lists.

Essentially, a 'hard-working, good without the puck 2-way forward'.

To me, 2-way guys are fillers, no outstanding qualities so they round up their games to be 'complete', you don't build a team with them...

Thomas review was reminsifent of discussions here. Bunch of scouts saying they never saw him play a good game and a couple others say he's got top end skill everywhere just has to put it together consistently.

Veleno comments are comparable to mine. He's a third liner. Can't score. Mike McLeod type.
