Pronman say Mascherin will likely re-enter the draft... I think a bunch of you guys like him don't you? Might be available with one of our late 2nds.

Yeah sorry... I'm not sure about the etiquette of that... I just post it in case other have subscribed or in case they offer free trials or something... but I can stop if it's annoying or against the rules or something.

I don’t think he’s wrong if you consider the age gap. I mean 3rd leading scorer on his team in a men’s league, all at 17 years old. It’s quite impressive. His skating stride is awkward, he should be able to adjust it.

You're preaching to the choir. I love that kid! He has so much room to grow!

Maybe just refer to a few salient points, the ones that concern the Habs mostly and I don't think there would be any prejudice. It becomes touchy when whole sections are reprised. I respect the fact that you took no liberties about the author's rights, only issue is if it's behind a paywall, it doesn't do any good, it comes across as free advertising for them and nothing for us.

I so wish the Habs draft Jesperi. Hes ****ing great

Is this the tectonic shift we were all waiting for? Are we hopping from the Hughes bandwagon back to Kotkaniemi?!!!!

Flavor of the week getting an early brewing.

Is he someone we should try and land negotiating rights for, by say offering a third round pick? I mean, he's not signing with them, they're going to lose him for nothing. They'll probably take a discount at this point.

Actually, no such thing was intended. There are three regulars here who are huge Hughes proponents. We'll have to wait til next week to see where the wind pushes them to, next.

I know haha I was just rerring to my ego being larger than that of 30

He also has

- Hayton at #23 in the (2nd round tier)

- he has Bokk at 8!!! (the rest is pretty standard)

- his "2nd round tier" goes until 43 ....

#35 is Serron Noel # 38 is Hallander

... Sandin #34 Dellandrea #29

How about this -- which centers does he have in the 2nd round, that could be within the Habs' reach? Also, are there any comments about those centers he ranks for the 2nd round, that surprised you (assuming he's offering some points of interest)?

Are there any "sure bets" in the second round? Guys like Jake wise or Jack Drury seem like really good players its weird to see this much talent in the second round

He also has Farabee at #27 !!!

It's a good list with a good write-ups ... he has obviously done his homework.... but there are some great lists on hfboards too ... and in this thread!!

I'm still waiting for one of you geniuses to write up a top 50 with descriptions!!

My problem is that I rely too much on what is being said in this thread, cause I don't feel like buying paying subscriptions and guides.

And now, I'm going batshit as every week, I see a different player being favored by our panel of experts, for the 3rd OA. You scoundrels.

The 3 C's closet to pick 35 are:

- Morozov
- McShane
- Akil Thomas (who I have my doubts about being a C)

McShane in the second would be a mistake. Morozov I would take there but I believe we could wait.. he's Russian in Russia. Akil Thomas will go first as much as some people here don't like him.

There are really good players available and only one "franchise player" type prospect... plus with the different ages and vastly different styles... it's a very hard year.. plus because we pick at 3... we get the pick of the litter of all "the rest"...

It's not an easy job. No matter who we take there will almost for sure be a better player taken later....
