I think he projects as a similar quality player to Danault.I think he is the type of center we need! Now if we can only find a real offensive center to play above him on the depth chart. I rather a big center who can skate vs a small center who can skate! Our wingers need a gritty center with offense IMO.

Bergeron? Simmer down now... Danault is probably a realistic projection, he doesn't and will never have Bergeron's offense, or defense for that matter.Hope it’s more than than but can’t argue too much. I think it’s anywhere from Danault to Bergeron.. something in the middle.
I'd say they are similar caliber, but different guys to be sure. Hayton is much more of a goal scorer, while Poehling a playmaker, but both are hard working two way guys with underrated skill sets who are virtual locks to be top 9 players. Is Hayton a similar talent like Poehling?
Hayton has a TON more skill than you are giving him credit for. I imagine the same people who hate Hayton, hated Scheifele his draft year as well...Bergeron? Simmer down now... Danault is probably a realistic projection, he doesn't and will never have Bergeron's offense, or defense for that matter.
You realize I'm talking about Poehling, right?Hayton has a TON more skill than you are giving him credit for. I imagine the same people who hate Hayton, hated Scheifele his draft year as well...
I'm having a terrible time in this thread lolYou realize I'm talking about Poehling, right?
Could happen. I think if we are taking the 2nd Dman off the board though, it should be Hughes. As good as Dobson looks in juniors, Hughes shared the ice with some of the best players on the planet and didn't look out of place- was dominant in college too.I think Dobson will be the 2nd dman picked
me neither... too bad he isnt left handed cause he would be an easy pick at 3.He's been joining the rush even more this game. I'm not gonna stop pumping this kid's tires.
I don't care that he's RH, I'd still pick him.me neither... too bad he isnt left handed cause he would be an easy pick at 3.
1st option, but they’re different skaters.Let’s Be clear about zAdina and kotkaniemi skating
Above average but needs work or below average ?
My guess is 1st option
Dobson has a goal and two assists tonight already, 34 minutes left
1st option, but they’re different skaters.
Both are a slight above average. Kotkaniemi has good straightline speed but has limited balance and agility. Zadina has limited straightline speed but excellent balance and edgework.
Right now I prefer Zadina’s skating as many snipers have shown to be effective while not being speed demons (Laine, Boeser, Tarasenko). Zadina doesn’t need to beat you with speed because he has the hands and agility to make defenders look silly.
Your logic train is missing some cars...
Pietrangelo level offense.
Watching the World Championships, you know what I think is happening with Hughes? People see McAvoy, who's 73, Martinez, who's 23, and Hughes, who's 43, as a single super defenceman. That's the only explanation I have for his surge in popularity, and comparison with Dahlin on the mainboard.

I'll take a 50-point dman any day of the weekPietrangelo level offense.
I've been seeing the same 3-4 posters who are touting Hughes here, moreso recently. I guess there must be more outside sources that have taken a different stance? A handful of posters is not a surge in popularity per se.
I don't think it's some huge coincidence that he's still playing, and his games are freely available, and this starts happening. It's not a great conspiracy that, say, Alexander Alexeyev isn't currently being hyped.
