You say that as though every other quality is elite across the board.

He's a good prospect, not saying otherwise. But he's not a top 3/5 guy in this draft.
Hes got an NHL shot, hes got absolutrly elite understanding of the game, his hands and edge work ability is elite. He splits D on a regular basis and hes just really dangerous with the puck on his stick. Hes the kind of multifaceted offensive player that just gets shit done.

Funny enough, hed be the type of player Bergevin and co would classify as a "winner" with the right attitude.

We have different definitions of elite. Elite edgework? Quinn Hughes has elite edge work.

Except his hands, his IQ, his vision and his shot.

But really, what do you mean ?
He's good across the board (other than skating). And he's going to be a good player. At pick 3 I want a star, and I just don't see star traits. Those attributes you listed are good but not elite. His hands and shot aren't elite. If his hands and shot are elite, how would you describe Zadinas?

What quality isn't elite?
Hockey IQ? Nah
Shot? Nah
Two-way play? That's not it.

The guy is flourishing in pro hockey at a young age. If he can work on his skating, I could see him taking a similar development curve to Horvat.

Umm, elite.

But, let's not stray from the topic.

You said he doesn't have a trait he can dominate with. He actually has a multitude of them. In fact, having so many abilities he can use which he combines with more unpredictablity than any prospect outside the top 2 is a dominant trait in itself.

He's more than "good" across the board, he's excellent and more.

At this point we can only agree to disagree. If I'm wrong, I look forward to seeing him as a Hab because there's no way we pass on the player you all are describing...at center no less...
