Bouchard reminds me a bit of Sergachev indredible offensive tools questionable defensively. Dobson is totally made for the NHL. He can play defensively, he can contribute offensively, he has offensive tools. He has huge upside.
Nah, Bouchard isn't as naturally gifted as Sergachev. If anything Dobson is alot more like him - just steadier and maybe not as much of a risk-taker offensively.

Dobson ? Sergachev ?

Maybe in skating, I'd even say Dobson is the better straight(ish) line skater and puck carrier, but the rest is Sergachev hands down, shooting, passing, dekeing, 360 skating, strength, speed, instinct, etc. Sergachev is a gamebreaker and exactly the type of D the Habs should be targeting, again.

I just didn't like the Bouchard/Sergachev comparison, they're nothing alike apart from being both good offensively. And even that they do in different ways. Sergachev has the tools to be a two-way force.

I disagree... Sergachev is a physical specimen with great offensive instinct but defensively it let a lot to desire. He should be dominating with his size/skating combination but he is subpar, more often loss and easily out muscled.

Dobson does not have the size of Sergachev but he is showing way way more implication defensively and at carrying the puck. He is very tall but also very thin (which is normal for a teenager) once he fills out his body he will be very dominant. I see huge upside with Dobson.

Its the same posters lying to themselves over and over and over and over and over and over
"Ok, Sergachev may be better in every single category except puck protection, but they are still close. TPG and U20 said everything we needed to know!"

Let's just hope that Carolina's management has convinced themselves of the same thing after seeing Zadina with Necas at the WJC. As if Svechnikov wouldn't fit even better with Necas.

That's not the same, I think what i meant was obvious lol. The carolina scouting group is not referring to hfboards. They are apaprently 70/30 at the moment in large part due to necas.

Is Zadina being close to Svechnikov still really being discussed here? No credible ranking has Zadina at #2. Beyond that, watch a few games of each and you'd see the decent gap between them.

We should just sticky this:

Now, if a team has Zadina higher up, well, that is on them. That said, the consensus, which last I checked means a "general agreement", Svechnikov is ahead. Sure, it isn't unanimous, but it is a consensus when you consider the sum of the rankings.

He's awesome. Cozens, who looks like more of a double-threat, is an absolute monster too. 4th in ES g/gp among U18s and 38 ES points to Dach's 22.

Yeah, I get Hughes is the crown jewel, but Dach and Cozens are two great players. Plus, they are both 6'3+, so that automatically gives them up to 5 spots in any ranking next year :sarcasm:

Considering one list has Zadina ahead of Svech and one list has Svech ahead of Dahlin, it's similar for both, Zadina is just as likely to be drafted 2nd than Dahlin is to fall 2nd.

Let that sink in guys.

How would you guys rank these, but consider the upside as top 6 C mainly and where's the highest you'd pick them:

Cam Hillis
Kyle Topping
Ty dellandrea
Phillip Kurashev
Jake Wise
David Gustafsson
Jacob Olofsson
Jack McBain
Liam Foudy
Milos Roman
Jay Obrien
Ivan Morozov
Nathan Dunkley
Alexander Khovanov
Luka Burzan
Cole Fonstad
Mathias Laferriere
Semyon Der-Arguchintsev
Blade Jenkins
Riley Stotts
Aiden Dudas
Chase Wouters

Feel free to add anyone you'd want to add, or rank whoever you want to or rank only a few of them.
