I've liked Kaut's game all year, I've had him in the 11-13 slot for the majority of the year and I'm glad that others are recognizing it now... Although it means there's absolutely no chance he's available in the 2nd... (Or even the late 1st if we move up)

Nah, Kaut's finishing ability gets underplayed, he can definitely rip it.

He just plays more of a playmaking role if he's got finishers on his line. Ain't no muffin shot with this bwoi.

Blah. I wouldn’t be impressed. I really like the guy but RD is the least of the team’s worries after goaltending. Pass on players that can provide big time offence for a steady defender is just underwhelming.
 
He's solid as hell. But I don't know how I'd feel that we didn't come out with a game-breaking talent.

I'd say the pure skills difference between Dobson, Boqvist, Wahlstrom and Zadina is not that big. It'll come down to who's the most competitive and the ubiquitous character issues, not even mentioning the combines (...that I personally think are overrated at that level of talent). Then, would you rather have an offensive beast or a defensive QB? It's gonna be a hard choice, for sure. Unless Svechnikov becomes somehow available! If you draft for immediate need with a 3rd pick, you're an idiot.
 
I'd be happy with any of Zadina, Wahlstrom and Boqvist. Good with Kotkaniemi, Dobson and Hughes. Pissed with Tkachoke.
 
THN's rankings just came out and they have Tkachuk over Zadina at #3, a couple other weird placements like Dellandrea up at #16 ahead of Kotkaniemi at #18, Jake Wise all the way down at #89
 
OK here's where I stand right now. Subject to change. Flame away, but be gentle!! :help:

1. Dahlin - I would trade all our 2nds to move up

2. Svech - I would trade a 2nd to move up
3. Zadina - He's going to be a great player and might become an elite goal scorer. I'm not scared of the flaws. I have him 3 because I think he has the best chance of being elite.
4. Kotkienemi - He's firmly in the "next tier" for me and I love the size, position, jam and creativity. Whoever drafts him will be very happy in a few years. A very well rounded offensive threat.
5. Hughes - He is a sure bet to be a top 4... some might think he can carry a teams offense... I'm not sure. IF I was he'd be 3.
6. Wahlstrom - I can see why scouts just fall in love with him. He really has none of the red flags... none. He will pot goals at the NHL level.. bank on it.
7. Dobson - He is a beast and will play big minutes every night. Maybe he won't bring huge offense... but if you think he can he could move up the list.
8. Boqvist - I just didn't fall in love yet. He obviously has a deadly shot and an uncanny ability to jump up into the play... the rest meh for me. Still it's enough to go 8!!
9. Tkachuk - I'm not a hater. He is going to play and is going to score and crash and be a real force in tight games.
10. Bouchard - This guy quietly produces... he's the opposite of flashy... but I like that.

OK so that's my top 10 right now. I really think that all those players will be great players this year. Boqvist in my view has the highest bust potential... but even that is low. If there was any way to get two of these guys that would be amazing!!
