From a Russian standpoint this as a disaster. We want what’s best for our players.
Yet Kravtsov is being i influenced by NYR to go to the AHL, which is a complete **** show; a place that hasn't developed a quality Russian elite forward in 25 years. Sweet Jesus.

Hopefully Kravtsov looks at the bull**** Shestyorkin is putting up with; losing millions by choosing to go to NA and getting buried in AHL even though he’s NHL quality

Lol.

Hopefully this thread is an afterthought in the near future. He does seem a big spoiled but maybe he'll grow out of it. He'll have no choice if he wants to sniff the NHL... I'm guessing he has higher aspirations than being a KHL superstar

I hope they keep him with a good billet and surround him with a mentor that can show him the ropes and adjust to life in North America.

It's a good reset button for VK and the Rangers.

The ideal scenario for the Rangers is to sell off at the deadline and make a playoff push with Lias and VK on the NHL roster.

Need both VK and Lias to play with fire and intensity.

None of this bitch ass emo shit that's been on display. Man the f*** up. The NHL isn't for whiny little bitches.

I'm hopeful that Lias and Kravtsov spend a lot of time together honestly.

So it's ok when Russian prospects don't get developed in the KHL / VHL / MHL because of prevalent corruption in the system or shit shows organizations like Traktor has been recently?

I'd buy in that your concerns are geniune if Kravtsov went to an organization that was doing well, stepped into top minutes and started to contribute to team's success, but then the Rangers decided to interfere and yank him out to put back into a struggling HFD organization. But NONE of this happened.

So with all due respect your concerns are nothing but trolling.

Kucherov? He played 17 games is in AHL. How is he a product of AHL development?
You act as if there's a huge list of high end Russian prospects that come over here and fail in the ahl
That's total crap. The reason that the ahl doesn't really develop Russian prospects is becAuse Russian prospects don't come to the ahl to develop.

It's like complaining about how the Chinese food is never good at your favorite Italian restaurant.

Duh.

Most Russian prospects go the khl to NHL route. It makes the most sense for both the player and the team. Ahl level or better competition... Close to home, better money.

If a Russian kid is going the ahl route it's probably because he wasn't really all that great to begin with.

Kravtsov is a little different only because he started off being close to making the NHL roster (right or wrong) and failed to do so before this whole debacle.

If kravtsov doesn't make it and busts out it won't be because of the ahl..it'll be because he's a bust.

I'm not biased, nor am I generalizing.

Banishing Kravtsov to the AHL is like some 19 year old North American kid going to to the VHL to ‘learn the Russian game’ before his North American style skills are even realized. Completely ridiculous and counterproductive. If he stays too long, he'll become a hybrid of both styles without mastering either.

Let the player marinate his his own environment, develop what he's good at....then, when ready, modify these skills to a different environment. Like Panarin. Like Buchnevich.
This is pretty much the path every top-end Russian forward has taken, unlike the countless Russian scrubs who took the AHL path, many of whom are/were higher draft picks.
Vladimir P? Is that you?

Also because he was playing for the Detroit Red Wings of the KHL.
