I really want to see a Krava-Lias-Fogarty line

There was a time I was considering not going to the Wolfpack games here. I'm really mostly interested in seeing legit prospects with upside and for a while, it looked like I'd only have Keane and Shesterkin/Huska to go watch. Now I've got Keane, Shesterkin/Huska PLUS Rykov, Andersson, and Kravtsov.

I am now chatting with the wife about going to the Charlotte game now. Two hours away, but will be a nice opportunity to see some of these guys at a decent price.

Traktor’s head coach had no idea that Kravtsov left. Do their GM and HC even communicate? What a mess there!

I mean the Rangers/Kravtsov might not have even discussed it with his KHL team if they didn't have to

slightly hilarious though

It's hilarious considering we're the beneficiaries, but big picture it's not a good look. Another example of his immaturity.
For heaven's sake, be an adult and let the coach/team know you're leaving. From his actions in Hartford to this, everything just screams petulance.

I really think that is something his agent should have done (or the Ranger organization). And why would the head coach be the one to contact anyway?

This is not on Kravtsov--he's doing what his employer has told him to do. It's up to Ranger management to inform the necessary parties.

And some of these people think that the KHL is a great developmental league?

The thing is I hate generalizations on both sides, whether calling the AHL crap for development or the KHL. Both leagues have terrible teams to be a part of for development, both have good. The play emphasis and styles also help prospects to develop for the NHL in different aspects.

My personal generalization is that Euros, especially Russians need AHL to learn what to expect in terms of physicality, how to back check if we’re talking forwards, and what’s safe and what’s not and how to choose the best option.

Again, this is generalization I’m comfortable with but would be ready to step away from in a particular case.

Kravtsov has absolutely no obligations of this nature.

The Rangers GM should inform Traktor GM about the termination of loan. And that’s it. Head coach should get the news from his GM. This is wholly internal matter within Traktor.

I agree. Player personnel issues are handled by the front office and agents. The player himself should never have any obligation to notify his team.

I’ve been careful to be evenhanded in my analysis of this situation and acknowledge there’s likely some element of fault on all sides, but... how exactly is this on him? He wasn’t playing for this coach, he’d been demoted to the VHL; even if he was playing for the KHL team, the coach isn’t the guy who needs to be told, it’s the GM; and honestly it’s really his agents’ (plural) job to do the communicating.

EDIT: or even Gorts’ job, as others have pointed out.
