That's the thing, the contracts may be hard to swallow. Even if they are way better, there really is no point in overpaying, especially on term.I don't know if I'd call them "way better". Better, yeah, but they definitely won't be worth anything close to the contracts they get in free agency. We'd be way better off with taking on cap dumps, signing someone cheap like Archibald, and/or letting prospects battle it out for any remaining spots.
There's probably enough cap room that they could still take on cap dumps but, yeah, that is a factor too.
