I feel bad for the offensive line. If they aren't blocking perfectly on every single play, this guy can't get out of the way of anything. He's the most immobile QB in the league. The other night, he even ran the exact opposite way he should have on two of the sacks.

The game has passed Eli by. If he can't even run the right way to avoid pressure, I don't know what to say. It's sad watching this at this point.

Also, someone needs to explain to me why every single time Eli moves to avoid pressure he turns around. What the hell is going through his mind that would make that a good idea to him? He's slow and immobile and turning around actually takes half a second or so. Other QBs don't turn around on every pressure. Not only does it add time to his recovery, but it also takes his eyes off the field.

You almost seem to be ignoring the point of my post, which is that OL is the most important position and increasingly becoming the most difficult to adequately fill.

It's simply impossible to find an OL that can block DEs and LBs running 4.6 at 250+ pounds. It's not going to happen. What you need is a line that will push guys to the outside or move them somewhere so-as to give your QB some space to move in the pocket.

Yet that also requires a QB that doesn't have cement for both his feet and his brain.

And if you go purely by PFF, 12 teams have worse OLs than we do. The line is below average according to their standards. Not dreadful, awful, no good, very bad.

Agree with everything you're saying. Unless they're going to a west coast style quick short passes offense, seems like Eli is in trouble. He can't even step up in the pocket anymore. Its rough.

He's not the only one facing pressure as you're saying. QBs are more mobile now. Not necessarily running QBs, but agile enough to move out of the pocket and keep the play alive. It's what made Rodgers and Big Ben so good for so long. Even Wentz did it well before his injury. Wilson, Watson, etc.

You just don't see many true pocket passers that sit back there all game succeeding. The defenses are too fast. You have to move to extend the play or no one's getting open.

There has been a bunch of arguing about the Jets, too. The Jets should've traded for Gordon.

Eh. Flash would've been nice for a 5th I guess, but our WR corps is the least of my concern right now.

My list is the following:

1. OL
2. Edge Rusher
3. More OL
4. f*** Chris Herndon and Buster Skrine

yeah I don't think we needed Gordon. Not that he's not a potentially great WR, but we definitely have some talent there already. They're not even getting Robby Anderson the ball downfield yet.

Bowles is a problem too. I guess it's fine since its still growing pains with a rookie QB, but the Miami game brought back all the issues from the past couple years.

Not a surprise to me, but Manning is nowhere near the bottom of TTT as of yet. He’s upper middle of the pack.

So why is he struggling, you ask, when we’ve replaced the line, given him one of the best sets of playmakers on the planet, replaced the coach, and drafted a shiny new RB for him?

Dunno. Can’t be because he’s shot, right?

Fun fact, Barkley's 14 catches for 80 yards is the worst production in NFL history for a receiver with 14+ catches.

Pass on 1st, no gain, run on 2nd, 0-2 yards. Same story.

Finally they start showing some commitment to the run as more than a 2nd down desperate attempt to gain a yard and imagine this, the jets are moving the ball. I don't understand this fascination with lateral blocking thougj especially in short yardage, can the team with big guys on the o line pls call some straight ahead runs?

If im a browns fan I'm screaming "they just BUTT f***ED us running left 18 times, why the f*** arent our coaches plugging the obvious hole there!?"

The right side seems to suck completely at run blocking. Thank god it's the browns though bc any other team would realize this and commit to shutting the left side down.

Enunwa is a god. In fact hes so good i suspect idzik had nothing to do with drafting him and actively fought against it

Not even mad when the jets get outcoached in the second half, make no adjustments and choke this shit away.

Why? Bc imo it'll officially start the countdown on bowles getting booted.

How many guys show zero respect to bowles and this team with these bullshit idiot penalties and off field issues?

How many guys played out of position or in ill fitting systems? How many blown timeouts? Its been 4 years, f***s sake

Pls prove me wrong bowles.

Ogen blocked by absolutely nobody. More lateral blocking on the run. 3 more of them stuffed at the half.

4 in a row stuffed total.

Now a toss stuffed. 5 in a row. The last two were f***ed up by abysmal blocking on the right side. Can someone tell these guys that mawae, kendall and randy thomas retired? We have fat carpenter, slow winters and half hobbled long. These are not the guys who zone block, reach block and move laterally all game. They're selling out to stop the lateral runs, start punishing them now by firing out straight ahead. Push some guys around, try a toss flea flicker, do SOMETHING to punish them for it

They paid all sorts of lip service to lee being more of a leader, calling plays.
I see williamson leading the D huddle right here. Lee is having a good game too. But it's interesting to see a sign that they realized they may have been asking too much of lee and took that responsibility away from him.

Love williamson. Guy has been fantastic all season.

Im loving the relentless effort from the pass rush. Too many times they start rushing from 2, 3 yards off the line of scrimmage bc they misjudge the snap. You can see them scrambling, caught unawares by the sudden snap. It gives the opposition more time to setup their protection and gives the qb an extra 2 seconds to scan the field. That's been an issue in previous games. Hard to say anything about the pass rush, they've been fantastic but that's a pre snap issue more than a pass rush issue
