So with the Sharks about to join the Kings on the golf course, does Blake and Tmac go after Pavelski to replace Carter or Kovie if they trade either? Jumbo Joe is also a UFA but he’s 40, Blake went after him a couple years ago.

Fun fact: Pavelski is older than Brown, Carter, and Phaneuf.

I'm guessing Pavelski stays in SJ, as does the other one, because apparently nobody ever really gets old in SJ.

Muzzin trade looks like it could work out nicely for us and I think the Leafs tend to feel the same way about it on their end.

Muzzin has been pretty good this series, especially last game. He and Zaitsev really held Boston's top line in check. It's helped to free up Reilly to get other matchups which has helped him.

The hit Muzzin put on Krug in Game 2 was amazing.

Muzzin is good. Missed him last year in the playoffs and I seem to remember he was one of the only decent players in the 2016 playoffs, although I've mostly forgotten everything about that series.

Yeah, surprise Jake Muzzin is a good hockey player.

So is this the year Doug Wilson will finally get the boot if the Sharks are knocked out in the 1st round? Talk about a GM being rewarded for mediocrity in the playoffs year after year.

I was pretty embarrassed for the Vegas fanbase tonight. I went to both game three and game four, and I encountered a lot of morons wearing VGK tonight. Just unnecessarily heckling everyone in a Sharks jersey. Saying obnoxious **** in the stands. Pretty embarrassing.

Hard not to like a lot of guys on the team, though. Stone is pure class. Hard not to like Fleury. Tuch is super talented. They got some criminals in the army to be sure, though.

Kane and Pavelski were total jokes tonight, to be fair. I was sitting right at center ice, and as soon as they went down 0-2, they stopped playing and started jawing with everyone, taking cheap shots, etc. Same old Sharks.

I went to Game 2 of the Kings / VGK series last year and I don't think I've ever encountered a more obnoxious fan base in my life. Granted, at least half of jackasses who were being obnoxious and wearing VGK gear were from out of town. However, when we got to our seats about 3 minutes into the game, I was greeted by what turned out to be a native with two middle fingers and an expletive filled tirade as I walked past the guy in my row to get to our seats. I just shook my head and ignored him. His friend later came over and apologized in the intermission before OT when his friend left the game which I thought was comical. Who leaves before OT of a playoff game? There were more than a handful of incidents. At one point some clown sitting behind us put his rally towel over my girlfriend's eyes when the Kings had a scoring chance. That's when I spoke up and told him politely to go f*** himself and a few other choice words. He then acted defensive like I was being rude. I started talking about how fans from Vegas are a bunch of morons. He responds "I'm from Alberta, man. Sorry I was just joking with her". The guy was wearing VGK gear head to toe and acting like a tool all night.

Really well done by the Jets to come back and square that series after dropping the first two at home.

Par for the course with the Blues.

I think a lot of it comes down to what SR10 mentioned about the area never having a major pro team and feeling like they were treated like garbage as a sport town and/or sports fans.

Being so successful so soon has made it like when poor, classless people win the lottery. They act like--and spend their money--like complete idiots until they are broke again since they think the money lasts forever. Too many of these clowns are acting like their team is the 70's Canadiens while taking out years of repressed shit talking they didn't get to do since they didn't have a team. Now they have their very own team to be passionate about, which is truly great for them and the sport, but too many of them are dicks about it.

Worst thing for this continued behavior was more playoff success. The way this is going down right now does not bode well for next season's games at Staples.

christ

i'm not sure i could've stopped myself from swinging for that shit

game 3 i saw a couple running around outside chanting and stuff afterwards but nothing outrageous.. not sure there were more than a handful of vegas fans in my section and they piped down for the most part

I had a VGK fan chirping my ear as I was taking a leak when I went to see the Kings in Vegas last season.

I was seriously going to angle my dangle to the left and urinate on his leg.

I mean, who trash talks another dude at a urinal when he’s doing his business.

Back to the games...4-2 Bruins now after the Leafs came back from down 2.

I still remember this DW reaction like it was yesterday.

The hillbillies winning the lottery is probably the best comparison for the fanbase right now.

There *are* good fans, though. I do feel compelled to point that out. Those fans tend to be honest hockey fans who have been following the sport for a long time. Vegas is sort of their 1B team.

The worst fans seem to be the ones who came from other sports, to be honest. Or midwestern transplants who think they’re professional hockey analysts because they vaguely remember their dad watching Red Wings games 30 years ago.

Loved that one as well. The guys sitting there are thinking, "Are we all getting fired?"

He’s been there forever and a day. Recall him as an original on their expansion club.

When he retired at the end of the 93’ season, did he not get hired on in the front office? I mean, that’s a long time with one organization.

For some reason San Jose fans think highly of Wilson. I think Lombardi showed them what they missed out when he took the Kings to the promised land.

There are two guys in the NHL right now who if you are going up against them, you do not want them to gain speed coming through the neutral zone because of you do, you are in a world of hurt.

One is McDavid and the other is Nathan MacKinnon.

I think his performance in this series versus Calgary is going to make him much more familiar to those in the eastern time zone who don’t stay up and watch the Avs but will turn in now because it’s the SC Playoffs.

He’s just so dynamic. The prototypical player for today’s NHL.
