There are two guys in the NHL right now who if you are going up against them, you do not want them to gain speed coming through the neutral zone because of you do, you are in a world of hurt.

One is McDavid and the other is Nathan MacKinnon.

I think his performance in this series versus Calgary is going to make him much more familiar to those in the eastern time zone who don’t stay up and watch the Avs but will turn in now because it’s the SC Playoffs.

He’s just so dynamic. The prototypical player for today’s NHL.

He's been fun to watch this series.

The Avs PP is scary good. Don’t know how far they’ll go this year, but this team has so much potential to be the top of the West, like they used to be in the late 90s-2000s.

The Rantanen contract will be huge for their future, if Sakic can maneuver it better than Dubas has the Avs are going to be scary for years to come.

The Pathetic Division playoffs are going to be won by wild card #2 from the Central Division.

You know, I'm gonna say something nice about Mike Smith so I can continue spewing venom about him. When he's on, he's on--I used to think there was no more volatile goalie than Quick but Smith may be worse. But tonight he just kept his yap shut, didn't show anyone up, and balled the f*** out. He deserved better. But Colorado was just freight training.

I would like to remind Sharks fans Martin Jones was acquired by San Jose in a trade with the Boston Bruins. :)

When Jones was with the Kings he was competent, so maybe try finding some defensemen who can play a little defense.

Jones has been bad but I can't find one analyst who will have the balls to say anything bad about that defense. I just do not get how EK gets free passes everywhere he goes, or why the rest of the squad just gets pats on the butt for trying hard while doing the matador ole to passerbys while they get odd man break after odd man break on Jones....then blame Jones for not making the big save. Yes, you need one big save from Jones. 5, 6, 5 goals against in each of the last three games though and you're gonna try to blame all 16 on the goaltending? That's why your team gets eliminated yearly. never mind the part where they scored zero last game.

Makar is going to be a problem

Been saying for a while he's my favorite player outside the NHL, has best-in-the-league d-man written all over him. Nothing he can't do. And was developing some chemistry tonight with mackinnon to where you couldn't tell who was who.

Smith and Grubauer made some insane saves in this game but the best one was Grubauer's save on Backlund early in OT. Wide open net and lifts his leg up to rob Backlund. That would have been game but that save may have doomed Calgary in the series. Well hopefully. But what an amazing save.

Best playoffs since the hawks/kings cup years. At least i think so. Very fun to watch even without being invested in any team.

So f***ing true man. Loved the jackets series, the caps, avs. Vegas and Sharks was very fun until the Sharks obviously did their usual choke.

It's like we're actually watching NHL-level hockey being played.

I know people on here like to rag on Smith but, he’s been good this series. Even in the Game 3 blowout if you look back at the goals scored on him, you can maybe fault him on the Makar goal but really that’s it.

If not for him, the Flames don’t have a chance yesterday.

Their defence has been very poor which had left Smith out to dry on numerous occasions this series.

Their big guns have been quite as well so he’s not getting much in the away of goal support.

Imagine the potential of Byram and Makar on that Avs blueline for the next decade? Jeebus

The Flames going out with the Bolts, Pens and Leafs would be sublime.

They are very good, however why is the guy in front of the net always open for deflections. The flames need to tie that dude up.
