Love me a potential Islanders/Caps 2nd round matchup.

Islanders first sweep of an opponent since 1983.

Too bad their going to play at Barclays Centre. Love the Nassau.

Love watching good hockey. Love the up tempo and fast pace. Can you picture any of Carter, Lewis, Phaneuf, being able to be in any of these games? No possible way. Or Toffoli for that matter. Game has passed these 4. I hope all of them are gone before camp.

It's time for : Prokhorkin, Kupari, JAD, Anderson , Clague and Petersen.

Big respect to the Golden age of the Kings who swept teams and reverse sweeped teams in the playoffs. We might be atrocious now, but we can say that we saw real men fight through adversity twice in a span of a couple years.

We never had the talent that teams like Tampa has/had. But the Kings had balls and that's why we have those two banners in a span of two years.

I think that's why others and I are so critical of this team. From an abundance of balls to a lack of them.

Truly makes you feel grateful.

Watching these games just makes me more and more motivated for this team to get back to respectability.

I'd like your post but I don't have privileges lol. Anyways, I agree, I don't think our team is as far gone as we think they are.

I said it at the deadline when everyone was ripping Jarmo, winning just one round was extremely important to the franchise and he had to go all in while he had the pieces. This has become the biggest moment in franchise history and it was well worth a late 1st to have it.
I didn't think Columbus would pull it off, mainly because they have so many players on the last year of their contracts. Rooting for them and the NY Islanders in the East.

Yeah, nothing we can do as fans but, you hope the guys that were passengers this year are watching some of these games and are hungry to be better, otherwise GTFO.

Nothing makes me more happy then seeing the Pens lose.

I'll be saying the same thing when I see the Sharks lose.

I think any of the 2012, 2013, or 2014 Kings teams would have dismantled Tampa Bay in the playoffs. Remember when they came in as the hottest team in the NHL in the 2012-13 (I think) regular season? Justin Williams and the rest of the boys cooled their asses off PDQ.

I think so as well. The Jackets kept pounding on the defense of the Lightning and they were done. Kings excellent forecheck would have most likely injured their blue line far worse than what the Jackets did to them.

I know the game is getting away from physicality but your team needs to be able to play physical and be quick. Tampa is not a physical team by any measure.

The jackets won the mental game when I was watching game one and two and saw that the Lightning were trying to rough up the jackets. If your coach can't have you stick to the identity of your team then you're playing catch up.

Stralman out, Hedman out, killorn injured, Kucherov suspends himself. That's a fragile team physically and mentally. Lucky and I mean lucky for the Kings, Brown is a durable player, Doughty extremly durable, Kopitar durable.

That's a tough team.

Hedman is a giant p***y who acts tough but is one decent hit away from an injury. That's why Doughty is better. He's extremly durable.
