Tampa has got to be the most overrated team of the cap era. People talk about them like they’re in the same tier as the Hawks, Kings, and Penguins teams of the past ten years.

They’re perfectly built to rack up a ton of points in the regular season. Just like those hi-octane Caps teams of the late 00s/early 10s who consistently disappointed.

Still a crazy stat that Stamkos and Kucherov combined for 0 ES goals, and just 2 ES points(both by Kucherov) against the Caps in the 3rd round last year. Shut out in both Game 6 and 7 as a team. Go from that, to potentially losing this series after 128 points, that would be a fairly bad taste in their mouth.

Kucherov is locked into a raise next year. McDonagh is locked into a raise. They have to re-sign Point to what should be a decent raise. 3 or 4 everyday defensemen as UFA's this summer.

Point is on par with Marner. That will be interesting.

It's interesting that Tortorella talked only about how they needed to continue to play better while Cooper talked about hoping to get it together for game 3.

Yep, I think more than one poster owes me an apology for getting on me for ripping Tampa this year.

Then again it's cancelled out by me being 100% wrong about CBJ so no matter what happens this series I lose

Can’t wait till Marner tells the Leafs he wants at least $11.6 million per. He’s their best player and deserves every penny.

Dubas should of take care of him and Mathews at the same time.

Dubas should have worked out contracts with them prior to this year. He completely f***ed their cap by misplaying his cards, now Matthews is on the most player friendly contract in the league, Nylander is making 7 coming off of a .5 PPG season and Marner is going to be asking for a similar contract to Matthews at minimum. The Leafs have to win this year because it is going to get tough when all of those contracts hit the books.

Tampa looks to be the new SJ Sharks!
The Isles are still my pick to win the whole thing..
But the Blue Jackets are giving me a 2012 Kings vibe.

Columbus is off to a great start, but they have been here before winning the first two on the road against the Caps last year.

That Mike Allison goal is one of the best goals scored by a King in the playoffs.

Kings have had some great series against Oilers.

This keeps getting brought up, but that 2-0 was the weakest lead. They struggled to get those wins in OT.
