I could see that if MacKinnon regresses and the young players they're counting on don't take the next step(s). I think there are a few realistic scenarios in play for the Avs and the only thing that would really surprise me is if they somehow bottom out again.

If Timmins is still having concussion symptoms this many months later then that’s extremely concerning.

A high ankle sprain is worrisome too... That could sideline him for a while. As much as I love him as a prospect those injuries are piling up awfully fast in his young career.

Worrisome short-term, but they are just a nagging injury that can last a few months. Long-term they don't have significant issues. Hell, Rants had one and he is just fine now. I can't see any case where Timmins ankle issue lasting anywhere close to this long.

It has been stated a few times that it has been a concussion. The high ankle sprain keeps coming in for some reason, but this is all concussion. Timmins injured his ankle in January... no way a high ankle sprain lasts 9 months.

The hit was on May 11, that was almost four months ago. Guys obviously can and do come back from being out this long with concussion symptoms, but this is concerning.
