LaDue is 6'2"???? Is that a misprint? I'd swear he was 5'8"

LOL. Here's the deal with LaDue. Over 2 years ago he joined the Reign at the end of the season for the playoffs (15-16). They gave him marching orders to get into better condition in the off season. (He has always been 6-1/6-2). At the prospects preview for the Reign season tickets holders prior to the 16-17 season, they raved about his off season work and conditioning, and he ended up getting a call up midway and played 22 games for the Kings. However, they were not happy with LaDue in camp for 17-18 (speculation, but I think he let his conditioning fall way off), and he had a terrible preseason and went down to the Reign. He still struggled for a couple of months (he was outplayed by Gravel). Around December he started playing well and finally got 12 games with the Kings late last season.

So which LaDue will show up at this camp? The job is there for the taking, especially after Blake's off season comments about him getting playing time. Will see if he was committed to fitness in the summer. He seems to have always struggled with his upper body strength with his play along the wall.

Yeah, to me they've had more than enough time to start the process. Watson had his case reviewed and concluded in a matter of months since the incident. The Voynov process started before the season ended when wanted to return and now the NHL is just starting their investigation?
We don't know when voynov started the process. My guess would be he didn't do anything until after he had record expunged
Then I'm sure he likely was dealing with his lawyer's finding out if visas would be an issue
And I would think it's probably been within the last few weeks or maybe days that he has filed anything with the league
The league has had time but until things are in front of them why move forward And on voynovs side why start the process until you think or know you'll be able to enter the countries.

Wasn't he sick for most of the season in Ontario, or was that someone else?

If the SHarks end up with EK AND Burns on defense, gonna be a point shooting gallery! better start wearing some more pads
Holy shit. What do we do if this happens? That's a filthy blueline, their lack of playing sound D notwithstanding. That's a lot of volume and relentless fire power from the blueline, RJ

I feel like this always happens.. Sharks or some pacific division team trades/signs for a big fish and the Kings get some older player that might score some goals. At the end of the season, everybody is usually still a loser.

What's there to do? Even if there was something to do, it pretty much has to be money in/money out. What they need to start doing is winning at home against division teams, especially the top ones. One regulation win against the Sharks, Ducks, and Knights last year.

My post was before knowing it was a wrappola, KF. We win. That's what we do.

That sounds about right but this time around it's not some ordinary big fish. Ek is deadly offensively and with the fire power the sharks have, it's going to be difficult to contain them. I totally see kings spending a few extra dollars for a backup forward. Really need Toffoli and Pearson to step up this season, they can't sit back when their center gets hurt.
