Kopi's offensive numbers would be way better if he played in a more open system or had ever skated with a truly elite winger.

And yes it's truly scary to think how easily Kopitar could have been a Duck, Canuck, Shark or Hawk. Had he ended up in Vancouver or San Jose there is almost no chance that team doesn't not win atleast one cup and likely more.

Christ could you imagine Kopitar with the Sedins in their prime. The Canucks are a time I love to hate, but I have to admit they had some scary good teams for a lot of years. Would be hard being a fan of those great regular season teams that have no cups to show for it.

I was a tip a king,many many years ago, waiting in a long line for something , when the guy behind me starts going on and on about how good he is. He starts asking about how to try out for the team. St first I thought he was joking but the more he talked the more I thought he wasn’t kidding. Finally, to get him to shut up, I gave him the address of Toyota Sprts Center and told him to call for ice times. There are people in the world that think if they just get a break they can make the team.

Carolina has a semi-crowded blue line right now so that's probably why they've been shopping Faulk, so they probably wouldn't have a ton of interest in Forbort/Voynov. There had been rumors of a Faulk/Saad swap, along with a general idea that Carolina probably would like a top 6 center and otherwise add a little bit of sandpaper.

As it stands right now, their roster without Skinner/Faulk would look something like:

Aho-Staal-Teravainen
Ferland-Rask-Williams
McGinn-Necas?-Svechnikov
di Giuseppe-Martinook-Zykov

Slavin-Pesce
de Haan-Hamilton
Fleury-van Riemsdyk

Darling-Mrazek

A left wing to replace Skinner would seem to make sense (ie the Saad rumor) and perhaps another center to bump Rask down would make sense for them.

A shame we only got to witness 58 games of Demitra in a Kings uniform. The top line of Frolov-Conroy-Demitra was the only thing that kept the games fun and entertaining to watch that season (along with the production of Lubomir Visnovsky).

Sadly this also happened to be the last season for Andy Murray and Dave Taylor.

But hey, that failed season did also deliver this highlight to us. Bob Miller going off on the Kings.

Sadly this also happened to be the last season for Andy Murray and Dave Taylor.

But hey, that failed season did also deliver this highlight to us. Bob Miller going off on the Kings.

perhaps they mean in the actual rating. A 2.8 vs a 3.4 seems pretty different. I think the only thing I was really surprised about the public opinion was the drafting. Unless I'm forgetting someone the Kings have 15 players that they drafted and developed on their roster.
