The kid NEVER played a full season of Junior Hockey, and yet people on here were talking like he was the second coming of Anze Kopitar....that's the issue.

Yup, he's as 'injury prone' as Justin Williams was.

I'm not going to cry over him missing some bullshit summer exhibition games until it takes a toll on his camp. You can save the "I told you so"s for real hockey.

Sometimes back pain just takes some time to recover from. And while it might range in pain, maybe he just doesn’t want to possibly risk it if he feels he’s got a chance at making the league in a few months.

I am not worried. Vilardi will be back by Christmas. :)

Let's not overreact here. After he recovered from his back injury, he played a full season with his team with no issues. I think this is just a precaution since he is anticipated to join the Kings in summer camp.

Where? Bantam? He hasn't played a full season of Juniors.

I agree that it's not much of anything to worry about, but when you haven't played a full season of juniors, and issues pop up, it's gonna get scrutinized.

definitely something to keep an eye out on. His injury history is why he fell to LA in the fist place.

I guess I meant he played the remainder of that season with no further injuries. In other words, he wasn’t in and out of the lineup.
