The less the Kings look like the Raiders the better. The less the Kings look like the Lakers the better.

Wasn't he suppose to be the Frolov replacement?
Holy shit I totally forgot about Marco Sturm. After the whole Kovalchuk dance. He was supposed to replace Frolov, Then Ponikarovsky wasn't scoring enough, so they tried Sturm, then Penner, then the Richards trade, then they tried Gagne, then Carter, then Brown stopped scoring, then it was Gaborik, then it was Lucic. All that in 5 years. If Kovalchuk had just signed the first time, it would be interesting to know how much of everything else would've still happened or not. All those wingers might not have been attempted, but Richards was too much of a Lombardi player, that one probably still happens.
When the Kings signed Handzus he was coming off a major ACL injury. It took a long time for him to recover and he was subpar in his first season here. In his 2nd and 3rd seasons with LA he hit his stride and played really solid.
I loved the Frolov-Handzus-Simmonds line. Heavy as hell.

I call that a good shift.Except Frolov was a puck hog and would hold onto the puck for the entire shift in the corner.

Sheldon Souray. Now there’s a name I haven’t heard in a long, long time.

Sturm was on the team for what felt like two weeks, but it was long enough to print some t-shirts.
Until he gets it taken away and the other team goes down and scores because they were out there too long.![]()
Frolov's last goal in a Kings uniform was a wrap-around against Vancouver in the 2010 playoffs, game 6.You mean he attempts a wrap around and the goalie freezes it. RIGHT
damn man i really like matjaz but i'm also not a big fan of these sort of nepotistic moves. good to get more european presence though

It's at 1:05
I think we win that series had Ryan Smyth scored on the wide open net and Frolov scored on the breakaway.I remember nearly single handedly winning that series with Doughty and Jack Johnson wreckign the powerplayit was terrifying
Weren't we linked to him at one point as well? Memory doesn't serve me correctly.
Where the colors are ok the logo isn't.
Still want gold vs white
I'd guess maybe Emerson and Murray since they are Blake's best friends. I dont mind. It's good to have guys connected with the team wanting to make an impact still. Robitaille, Evan's, Fox, O'Donnell, Stoll, Greene, Modry and Armstrong are the obvious ones still around in addition to the occasional guys like McSorely, Anson Carter, Kyle Calder, Steve Heinze who are all still around the organization too. What are the other ones?
I kind of agree, but he's well-qualified, has deep roots, and lots of experience in the region. If you trust the guy, he's connected to you AND the region, and well-qualified, I don't see a problem with Matjaz.
