Rosen is lame. You won’t get a ground breaking inside knowledge announcement from him. Big announcement for him involves McDonalds night at Staples or something lame like that.

Doughy re-signs with the Kings , yet:

"Finally, how does the affect the Toronto Maple Leafs?
Because it all comes back to the Leafs, right?
Doughty was another in a long line of Ontario-born players whom some Toronto fans (and media) were determined would come home and play a vital role for the Leafs. In this case, it was to have Doughty become the franchise defenseman backbone for Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner up front.
Welp, there's always the trade market. Say, isn't Subban from Toronto?

Drew Doughty got his new deal; what happens next?

:nopity::nopity::nopity:

Sofa king tired of hearing about the Maple Leafs. The universe doesn't revolve around that team, give it a rest already media!

Also, some of the discussion around Voynov is really annoying me. People do change, even after doing monstrous things. Should they carry the weight of that error on their shoulders forever, no I don't think they should. I believe in forgiveness WHEN applicable. Only the Kings know if this is the case, which I think is a strong possibility given they're talking with Voynov.

If the Kings really feel Voynov is a changed person, they should sign him and tell everyone to stuff it. This optics talk is nonsense ESPECIALLY in a political cesspool like Los Angeles. The same town that protects and insulates known serial rapists and pedophiles like Weinstein and Polanski, please.

Enough with this holier than thou talk. The Kings need to hit this head on if they sign him, don't shy away from it.

Tell him to put a Resist sticker on his helmet. He will be welcomed back with open arms.

I remember him breaking that Justin Williams trade before it went down.

He literally broke it. When Edmonton (Lowe, I think?) Heard the kings were getting Williams in return, they demanded an additional second round pick. Since then, trades were kept a lot more hush hush.

And even with the 2nd included, that deal was still heavily in favor for the Kings. Thankfully at the time, Justin Williams was perceived as “damaged goods.”

Turned out to be one of the best deals this team would make.

I had a friend back in the day who lived on the east cost, huge Sabres fan. Had been watching Williams for years in Carolina.

I was hesitant at the time about the trade because PoS figured to be a major part of the core going forward. But I distinctly remember my friend saying, “Williams is a legitimate top six dynamic winger. And his health stuff has been a bunch of freak injuries. This is a major steal for you guys.”

Turns out he was right.

A Voynov signing would lead to a defenseman having to be moved. The most likely 23-man roster right now (including Vilardi, Amadio and Brodzinski among the 14 forwards) shows about $2 million in cap space with LaDue still needed to sign. So you figure Muzzin, Martinez or Phanuef would be moved. Perhaps Muzzin since he only has two years left and would presumably get a significant raise that we probably couldn't afford.

Questionable source... but Andy Strickland on twitter says Luke Schenn to sign with either San Jose or the kings. Please god let him be wrong.(most likely is)

Anyone else still feels like we're gonna make a deal for Skinner. I feel like we're a top 6 away...

Only way Schenn signing with the Kings would make sense would be if Ladue was lined up in a separate trade or the Kings want Brickley to start in Ontario. Even then though...
