You seriously think that Bereglazov is somehow more ready than Pionk? Pionk handily outplayed him.
No one wants Desjardins, and if they did, they sure as hell wouldn't have to trade for him.
He was probably the biggest disappointment in camp, for me. I had high hopes that he'd push for a spot. I don't know if he would have made it regardless, but he certainly didn't do anything to really force the team into a tough decision. I also think the out clause was overblown; I don't think the Rangers would have given him preference over anyone because of it.I saw nothing fro Bereglazov. In TC or at Travers City

Hopefully he sticks around in Hartford and shows that he can play the North American game successfully. But, if he chooses to leave, it will be an "oh well" kind of thing for me.
It wasn't just his play that I wasn't impressed with, it was his general disinterest.
That narrative comes from one poster.Yeah, this idea that he is somehow better than guys like Pionk is a bit silly. He's older and showed nothing. I mean, maybe he can be a bottom pairing defenseman if he improves.
Happy to see a youngster make the team. Hopefully he won't be used on the 4th Line.
Well lets see. AV is guna AV eventuallyChytil? Definitely won't be on the 4th line.

Are we the only NHL fanbase that has numerous posters that value Russians over better players of other origins?
I wish there was a dislike buttonWell, it IS New York City - everyone is always Russian around. (ducks incoming fruit and vegetables)
That's a narrative? How about the widespread, bullshit "lazy Russian" stereotype that hockey fans have run with for years? Are we the only NHL fanbase that has numerous posters that value Russians over better players of other origins?
No, I don't think it would stand to reason. Not with the Rangers' front office being notoriously close-lipped about this sort of thing. I don't think there is enough information to state that there is no interest around the league, and I don't think 'common sense' is a phrase that can be applied to this situation, as it is a rather complex one.If there was any interest in Staal, wouldn't it stand to reason that there would be even whispers of the Rangers approaching Staal about waiving his NMC? I feel comfortable with the idea that there is no interest around the league in having Staal on a 3rd pair. In fact, 'common sense' would dictate it.
