Why does this week feel more exciting than the last two games in the playoffs did last year did? Well, i can tell you that with some objective selfanalysis - simply because I am insane defined by the biggest cliche of all time

INSANITY = Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

Come to think of, we all are insane on these boards
Every single one of us

LGR!

he's lumbering imo. ok, not slow more lumbering. he has spurts of activity and effort but can also look um... not fast. his quickness needs alot of work. losing mass may not be the answer.

so now he's a lumbering skinny old guy who cant shoot at 7.8 large

lovely.

I pray to god you're not in Florida doing Hurricane assessment.

Rick Nash sure hasn't produced like a $7.8 mill player lately but acting like he's a bad player is pretty pointless. He's a good player that's currently overpaid. That sucks but it's pretty much a sunk cost at this point.

He and his caphit will be gone in a year.
Maybe less.
We gambled on getting him to put us over the top and we lost.
Close but no cigar
He was not a horrible player, nor was it a horrible trade.
It was good from far but far from good
Such is life

I don't understand the complaint with player cap hit anymore. We aren't a cap strapped team. In fact we could of bought out girardi and staal this year and been fine.

I'd try to reup him for 4mil 2 years.

Yeah honestly he still drives a lot of play offensively and does a lot of good things, makes things happen. For a cheaper contract I'd be interested in keeping him around as kind of the Rangers version of Marian Hossa

Hehe, or just stubborn positive @BBKers! :)

-New coaching staff.
-New season with possibilities to hit above 60 pts. it should be a minor goal for several players on our current team.
-New key players.
-President trophy? ;)

And we should at least challenge the Stanley cup team Pens next year!

I agree on all counts.

I've often been pretty harsh in my assessment of Nash, but it is what it is at this point.

I've kind of lost track of our roster over the offseason, but if the plan is to give Miller and Hayes a long look at the #2 and 3 centre spots, aren't we top 9 winger short (even more so until Fast is back)?

Zuke - Kreider, Nash - Buch, Grabner - Vesey, Poempel - Fast (when he's back from an injury). However your point is well taken. The Rangers are at least a forward short at the moment (and carry an excess at D). They are very likely are waiting to see who might become available either as a cut or for a trade.

Forgot about Grabner, but yeah we still look at least 1 short

Hanks got a year maybe two left and that's if we're lucky. He very easily can be even worse than last season. But benefit of the doubt two more years including this one. I'd like to tie Nash to that window 2 more years 4 or 5 mil per

We will be in the playoff picture as usual so don't expect any selling off of any pieces at the deadline

Less weight means you'll get knocked down.

Heavy weight means you're slow.

Lean weight means you're quick. ;)

These guys work out most of the summer so he may be losing some body fat but he's not losing muscle.

lol, it`s too early with Henrik analysis.
I hope u are aware that we will certainly struggle to reach playoffs - if our goalies underperform this season. :)

I'll bet any amount of money Staal-Holden are still the second pairing to start the season.

Not so sure about Smith but it would be absolutely criminal if Skjei wasn't on the 2nd pairing..

What are the chances of seeing AD-Skjei as a 2nd pairing to start the season?
