Oops, I made the mistake of thinking this was the actual roster. How many of each position make it to the final?
13 forwards, 7 d-men, 3 goalies

No Bracco, Fischer, Jones, Tufte, Mittelstadt, Yamamoto, Robertson, or Foote?
Everyone past Bracco wasn't invited, as others have mentioned.
As for Bracco, I personally don't want him on the team. He gives very little effort defensively. But his chances are probably very good with Boeser injured.
Ok so
Bracco
Fischer
Tufte
Mittelstadt
Yamamoto
Robertson
Foote
Wise
McCarthy
Turcotte
Warren
just were not selected?

How good is Oettinger? Has great stats. But i´m from Sweden and have never seen him. Do you think he will be your starting keeper this WJC.?
Mr Sniper
What McCarthy are you referring to?
I've seen Oettinger a fair amount and I think he's really good. But its tough to argue with the numbers Parsons is putting up.
My guess is that those two will each get a start in Games 1 and 2; then the hot hand gets the next start.
He's referring to 2001 born defenseman Case McCarthy, along with two other 2001s in forward Alex Turcotte and defenseman Marshall Warren.
Seriously. Haha.
Sorry if my questions seem a little stupid, I'm new to this tournament. I was planning on watching last year's but vacations prevented me from doing so.
It's amazing how good this team could have been with players that are currently in the NHL. A lot of depth up front. My hope is a guy like Bellows contributes more than he has at BU so far. Goaltending looks very solid. Defense is a big question mark. No studs (IMO) and an overall undersized group.

It appears it is Parsons job to lose with Woll as the back-up and Oettinger number three.

Oettinger, Parsons, and Woll were all pretty obvious selections. For what it’s worth, I’ve heard from people who’ve seen them more recently than me that Parsons is most likely to come into camp as the number one goalie, followed by Woll as the back-up, and Oettinger as the third. But that could always change. It’s a short tournament and hot goaltending is key. Any of the three should be in consideration to be the number one guy if they’re playing well in the pre-tournament exhibitions/early pool play rounds.

Youre fine. Welcome to the crazy house. Once you start investing in this tourney, you'll be hooked. To me, its bigger than the Olympics / World Cup / World Championships. Its seriously a highlight of my year.
Anyone know when the final roster will be announced?
