Lindblom - Eriksson Ek - Nylander

Omark - Söderberg - Lindholm

Rask - Karlsson - Klingberg

Landeskog - Lundvist - Krüger

Nordström - Everberg

Lindblom is nice and all but Landeskog is still way better than him. Putting Landy on a 4th line with Lundqvist and Krüger is on this line up, in my opinion, ludicrous as hell.

Please read LiveeviLs post #424 on the previous page and disregard the first part

Are you happy now:

Steen/Forsberg - Rask - Lindholm

Landeskog - Söderberg - Nylander

Nordström - Krüger - Lindblom

Eriksson Ek - Karlsson - Klingberg

(Everberg) - Lundqvist - Omark

Practice lines for tomorrow's game per Aftonbladet:
Gabriel Landeskog - Carl Söderberg - Richard Gynge
Victor Rask - Linus Omark - Elias Lindholm
Joel Lundqvist - Joakim Nordström - Carl Klingberg
Dennis Everberg - Pär Lindholm - Mario Kempe

Victor Hedman - Anton Strålman
Oliver Ekman Larsson - John Klingberg
Henrik Tömmernes - Eric Martinsson
Philip Holm - Calle Rosén

Karlsson, Krüger, Eriksson-Ek and even Brodin could all potentially play tomorrow, though.

And yes I copy pasted. Don't believe for a second Omark will play center.

Would it not be better if OEL and Klingberg are not playing together? OEL has great offensive skills and should be the offensive-one in his pairing. Rosén - Holm should be in WC, adding Borgman or someone else would make no sense when we already got the chemistry of Rosén and Holm. Plus Borgman is injury-prone and have a tendency to get suspensions.

It "feels" like Wennberg, Nylander and Lehner will decline.

It would be a mistake to not invite Lindblom.

2 forwards spots open for second round reinforcements from NHL. Or perhaps we can make it 4 and have Rosén and Holm behind scenes? Playing with 10/11 forwards would be foolish, we need 4 full lines from the start.

Omark - Rask - Lindholm
Landeskog - Söderberg - Gynge
Eriksson Ek - Karlsson - Lindblom
Nordström - Krüger - Klingberg

Hedman - Strålman
OEL - Brodin
Edler - Klingberg
Rosén - Holm

Yeah it sorta felt like it listening to his exit interview "I'll speak to the management first and we'll take it from there".

Why would Nylander decline?

He played 76ish games last year(14 playoff games for the marlies)
played 87 this year, I think he just needs rest. He also has been training hard every summer he was drafted at 170 lbs at the draft he's about 200 lbs right now.

Ofcourse YOU do but you're a leafs fan and every good NHL player plays a lot of games and he asked why would HE decline not why would you decline for him.

I didn't decline for William Nylander, William Nylander declined himself, I'm merely giving some context as to why he did, the same thing with Matthews, they both just need to rest.

Has he already declined? Post a link?

If he has does, he wont really ever be popular in Sweden if he doesn't play the first time he gets an opportunity. People don't get the whole i need a rest thing over here it's frowned upon especially if it is a young player with no injuries that decline.

Either way if he doesn't wanna go he doesn't. Atleast we still have a crazy defense with a norris nominee and four other all star d-men. It would mean that Elias Lindholm gets put in a spot he isn't used to, and that there'll be virtually no scoring threat that makes other teams scared. So I'm really hoping because he would be probably the most needed addition we could ever get with the roster looking as it does right now, even more than players like Rakell and Forsberg I think.

I don't think it's up to Toronto fyi.

Marner accepted his invite to play for Canada and Babcock said he's had mono for a couple weeks.. so I mean yeah.

If Nylander doesn't go it's because he chose not to go

So, who will actually be our #6 defenseman? I haven't seen a lot of Edler or Klingberg this year, but it has to be one of them, right?

I would say they have been at the same tier this year, both have been crucial for respective team (Canucks as a team is of course worse). Both a bit to offensive minded given their defensive capacity but that is the way they are. What can be said is - both in PP-points but certainly even more in pp-points/minute - Klingberg is better at PP.

Sidenote Sweden's top 6 D-men are at 27, 416667 mill $.
I think we win that one.

Wennberg officially declined:

Lundqvist makes the team and is the captain. Is this a joke? He was shutdown by brynäs and now he is captai of the vm team.
