You would want to aim for PP1 to be as good as possible.
I don't see why Nylander + Wennberg would not work. Best offensive forwards on the team.
Rask + Lindholm knows each other well and would be a good PP2.

Yeah I know but the way Babcock said it made it sound like he practically made the decision for Matthews.

So I just have this feeling that he will more or less tell Nylander he can't go, obviously this is all just my skepticism towards everything

I really hate the World Cup now.
I had plans to go to South Korean in 2018 until the NHL decided NHL Players won't play in the Olympics.

And now many players likely declined because they played too much Hockey the past year partly due to the World Cup of Hockey in the World Championships I will be attending.

I really hate the NHL right now.
I sure hope Ottawa or Edmonton wins the cup just to p*** off Gary Bettman

Well hopefully The Leafs say yes, there's really no reason for them not to say yes.

Other teams "really have no reason" to let their players go either but they still do. All players have to undergo a physical examination after the season. I think NHL teams tend to be very picky even about the slightest wear and tear. If Nylander is 95%, they'll probably stop him from going.

But if they deem that he's a 100% you'd think they would let him go. No reason for them to upset their own player, if they can't give said player a good reason not go go.

I also think it is very much up to the player, if he really want to go and make that clear, they will probably not stop him unless he has a real injury. Ovechkin would go even if he was 95%.

Ok, I was cryptic... main idea was that the kids could form a line early on to see if they can work some WJC magic.

Rask was winger last year and Landeskog is perfect for bringing the puck into offensive zone. Laying it up for the kids. Krüger can play RW which he did in SEL.

Another idea is that we never seem to know the lines in advance...a little bit was a joke about that.

Now for some defense pairings...
