Price
Porcello
Sale
Wright
Pomenranz
That's the best rotation in baseball
Everett mike complains about every single prospect given up
I'd honestly go with Price, Sale, Porcello, ERod, Pomeranz
What is Wright really? The guy they got in the first half of the season, or the guy that started struggling before injuring his shoulder?
He's a better candidate for the BP than someone like Buchholz or ERod.
Regardless of what they choose, their top 3 is insane.
What's gonna happen with Buchholz?
Great comment, my only issue is that we have 4 lefties now. The Jays lineup are mostly righthanded hitters. Maybe DD will pull another trade with Erod or Pomeranz? We are now stacked with great pitching. Assuming Carson comes back and adding Thornburg, giving Kelly a full year out of the pen, we are loaded. Workman may also be able to contribute. We still have Johnson and Owens in AAA too, wouldn't mind DD trading these guys for some decent A or AA prospects to replenish our system.

Shaw, Moncada (1), Kopech (5), Basabe (7), Dubon (9), Diaz (21), Pennington (27) out
Sale and Thornburg in.
That is a win for Dombrowski and the Sox no matter how you want to spin it.
I get people love prospects, but in this case they were used EXACTLY for what they needed to be used for. Aside from Moncada and Kopech the rest of the lot were either blocked, or years away.

Gotta imagine that's the plan right?
You can now comfortably move 2 of Clay, EdRod, Pomeranz, Wright. Could probably move Price or Porcello if you really wanted to. They've got some talent they can now use to try to replace some of what they've given up.
The question isn't about Buchholz. He was already going to be the longman/emergency starter. I think he showed himself well in the 2nd half last year, being able to switch back and forth. The question is more about E-Rod/Wright/Pomeranz. Will one be traded? Will Pomeranz become the reliever we badly need?
Please respect my privacy during this difficult time.
I've been so excited for Moncada for so long I can't believe he is gone.

Completely agree, that rotation should be dominant with a plus bullpen behind it. Still plenty of power in lineup as well. Encarnacion would just make it even better.
I know they wanted to stay under the luxury cap. Although Sale is on a great deal, wouldn't this put them close to it? I'd have to look at the numbers. While they're likely to move more pieces to cut salary, it sucks they're so close to the cap. EE seems like the logical final piece to complete this team.
