If anyone has a lot of time to kill while they wait for the draft, JetsAlternate put together a really great scouting video of Cody Glass. You can really see in this video how good he is away from the puck, and how he has elite vision and a remarkable sense of how the play is going to develop.

He needs to get bigger. He's a bit easy to knock off the puck right now, but he's got plenty of room to fill out. He might end up at 6'3 or even 6'4 when all is said and done. I love a kid who can do what he does, while not being the strongest guy on the ice. Because when the strength comes, he's going to be a beast.

The thing that I liken the most between him and Scheifele, is his ability to create space with the puck on his stick and create plays. He can come off the boards, or steal the puck from the opponent, and his head is up and looking for a play immediately.

Can anyone provide some insight into the relative NHL-readiness of the top Cs available?

Patrick and Hischier could step in right away in a sheltered role.

Vilardi could possibly step in next year. He has the size and skill, just not the skating.

Glass and Petersson I see being at least 1 year away. Both need to bulk up.

Mittelstadt and Necas are probably 2 years away.

Anyone feel like this is happening because our rivals are picking 1 and 2? Having 3 metro teams picking top 3 would be hilarious because the metro is the best division already.

God I hope they are not moving up for Makar

To be honest, I think the 7th pick could be better than the guy taken 1st or 2nd

Well we just traded our #1 best center to get it, so it's not really the same as the other two.
