Glass or Petersson at #7. A sliding Tolvanen at #21. You heard it here first. :D

MAN I am so freaking amped, lol.

I'd be thrilled with either, but, I really want Glass. And, I really think the Rangers will trade down from 21 and pick up a 2nd round pick.

Especially with the need for a highly-skilled center, and the fact that they've added Pionk and DeAngelo, a center at #7 is the obvious move.

Especially when you consider that Shattenkirk is a FA option for us too.

Haven't followed the draft closely in years but I hope Gorton keeps both firsts. We desperately need some top tier prospects.

Agreed. aren't people tired of throwing away first and seconds without ever winning? We still have a good team and cap space to add more talent. The time has come for us to try and rebuild the farm as well.

I actually think it is in the teams interest to trade down to grab a second rounder

Unless they really like a guy at 21

If Chicago is as high on Brannstrom as reported, swap firsts and have them give us their second. The Rangers could get a very good player with a second rounder this year. Lotta depth in this draft

If that Dman is Liljegren or Makar, I don't too many people will be upset. But, sure, be the board contrarian who's above the fray.

Still not convinced on Makar. Think the gap between the AJHL and NCAA is pretty drastic. Then again, Wall had a pretty good year after jumping from the GOJHL. :dunno:

Get ready for complete meltdown when the Rangers use that #7 on a D. LOL.

Cale Makar

There seems to be a late pump out there and has been consistently rising in the ranks.
Ill stick with my prediction that the risers in this draft will be the best players.

Joey, my choice is Glass, followed by Pettersson. And, I'd be very happy with Liljegren. All I'm saying is that there are quite a few posters that would be very happy getting Makar, which flies in the face of the post I quoted.

Glass, Pettersson, Liljegren, Makar. I'd be happy with any of them, and probably some others too.

I find your lack of Suzuki love disturbing :(

All those guys would be great picks though.

I've been wanting Glass since Trxjw compared him to Schiefele. So, I feel like this would be payback. Pettersson caught mt attention when I heard one of the scouting shows on NHL Radio put him at #5 overall. I think I'd be okay with Suzuki if the other two were gone, and the Rangers could trade down a couple of spots and get another pick.

I'm also hoping Edge is right when he said he thinks Glass could be #3 on the Ranger board.

I don't think Glass will be there at #3.

Heard the Devils love Makar. That would be a bit of a shocker.

Gordies comments are telling though. He knows who they want. I don't think he has ever picked this high with NYR.
