We've made it through the expansion draft with out entry level draft pick still in hand. Will that change tomorrow after the roster freeze? I believe if anything we might have more picks after tomorrow (Raanta and possibly Stepan) so here's to having some interest in watching the draft Friday night.

Bold denotes overager. 9 overagers listed, since its a bad draft for those who are first year eligibles, and also happens to be a very good overager draft. I don't think Gorton and Staff like Brannstrom as much as we do. Just a hunch.

They should grab a dman, but I think they go BPA all the way, stock up on dmen in later rounds.

Think their dman draft board reads (in this order):

Foote

Think it'll be one of Norris, Yamamoto, Vesalainen, Bowers or Poehling. Maybe Ikonen. But that's if nobody from lottery area falls (like Kostin, etc).

I've heard that about Brännström too, we do like Yamamoto though so that's good.

Vesalainen really intrigues me. Here's what I'm really hoping for - Gorton trades Stepan and Raanta for Strome, one of DeAngelo, Hickey or Perlini, the 7th and the 35th, and then takes Liljegren at 7, Vesalainen at 21 and then one of the centers like Bowers or Poehling at 35.

What do you say are the chances that we draft either Liljegren or Brannstrom? (involving a trade or not). Think a lot of us have one of them as their dream selection. I'd say ~40%, I really can see Gorton considering them.

I've heard that NYR aren't that high on Brännström sadly, we do like Yamamoto though. If Liljegren drops then i assume we're picking him.

I agree w/ Steve, people are gonna be disappointed if they think Brannstrom or Lilli will be one of our picks at #21.

Also, if we do end up with two firsts, gotta find a way to get a Center.

Makar at #1 would be an insane reach imo, he's a 10-15 range player but the crazy NA hype machine has built him up this much, crazy.

I don't follow draft prospects like many of you do but the range of opinions of players once you get out of the top ten is wild.

I would not be disappointed with Thomas at number 21, in fact he might be my favorite for the pick right now.

Interesting to hear multiple scouts talking about Tolvanen slipping now, he's someone i'd love to grab, we haven't had a true sniper in a while.

Tolvanen has been slipping for the past month. I just think that people are finally seeing it now. No doubt in my mind that I'd take him.
