Have to admit both Ottawa and Toronto have exceeded expectations with their play. Nobody has taken their foot of the gas which most would not have predicted. It has made for one hell of a race. Good news is the Bruins are in the thick of it and leading versus chasing in attempting to secure a spot. As they schedule closes out and the teams go head to head on many nights it will go back and forth with the percentages. Winning is what matters to all in the end. Bruins still in control of their situation.

Another bad night for us with everyone that matters winning. At least the Habs got blown out. Really expected Minny to hand it to the Bolts to...

I don't think we'll have to worry about TB too much for the next few games.

They have 1 center on the team right now after last night.

that`s what I thought when they moved out bodies at the deadline and that`s when they started to put some W`s on the board

The two remaining games vs Ottawa will be huge. B's not looking good vs. the Sens

I recall not that long ago the Bruins OWNED the Sens. Seems like since 2014-15 the tide has completely turned in the other direction.

I'm hopeful with the recent stretch at home that this starts to turn around in the last couple with them. I believe they are both here. As much fun as it is having every game really mean something, I would love for them to somehow clinch a spot with a few games left if they do.

If memory serves Tim Thomas was amazing against the Sens, especially in Ottawa, and that he loved the light in that rink.

SO let's see if I have this right: If Ottawa catches and passes the Habs, and we stay in 3rd, we play the Habs 1st round, right?

I would love to see this.

Miss the playoffs for two years, fire the coach 2/3 of the way through the season, he goes to your biggest rival, you make the playoffs, and face him.

You could not write it up any better.

This year has a different vibe to me than the last two, when I felt like the team was in, but just treading water and you knew they were going to collapse. I don't get that feeling at all now, even though the cushion is less than last year.

I will be disappointed if they miss the playoffs, but if the team finishes strong and just loses out because one or two other teams played out of their minds down the stretch, it will bother me far less than a collapse like last year.

From an entertainment point i would love to see us getting in to the playoffs needing 2 points the last game

It would be outstanding drama

Especially if a win means we play Washington and they know it

I live close to Ottawa so it was so much fun for years to go see the Bruins ....
But not so much lately. :(

I'm not expecting the Leafs or Isles to collapse down the stretch.

We are going to have to earn our playoff spot.

Not sure about the Leafs. They are such a young team and have a rough schedule near the end. It will be interesting.

Pretty tough looking schedule down the stretch here, at least 9/15 at home, so maybe that helps. Most every team will be fighting to stay alive, or for a better seed; even Philly tonight, and Tampa aren't officially out.

Would hope we are in before April; closing against Ottawa/Washington isn't an easy order either

Including Stamkos and Boyle they are currently down 5 centers from where they started the year. I thought they were going to challenge hard at the end but I just don't see it happening now.

With the smurfs
Habs are 7-3-0 since Julien is there.

They have scored only 19 goals. 4 of those in OT. They have another SO win.

That's only 15 goals in regulation in 10 games. Only two regulation wins.

Frauds.

Let's hope they fall so the Bruins can bounce them out in round 1.

Go B's!

Looks like it'll be 2 available playoff spots between Tampa, Toronto, NYI and us. Florida and Philly have outside shots, everyone else below them would need to go on a miracle run.

When we planned our Boston vacation last October and bought tickets for games on the 28th, 30th March and 1st April we hoped that the games would not be dead rubbers. Looks like our wish is coming true and they will have meaning!

I completely agree with this. This is the most fun I've had watching this team in years in this last stretch. Another big day of hockey, let's keep the train rolling and hope for some help.

Good planning, looks as if you'll be in for some play or die backs against the wall hockey. Here's hoping for 6 points while you're visiting!
