If Voynov plays a game in the NHL again I will eat my hat
I hope it's at least a tasty looking hat.

Not sure what your point is with this? In 1987 you could call someone a ****** in a movie without blinking an eye:
I promise you whatever word you censored is still used in movies "without blinking an eye."
Do you really think it's fair to compare child molestation with Voynov's crime? Can I compare a DUI of a rival team's star player to that of committing murder over a hand of cards in the 1880's West?
Times change, yes. Societies progress as they age. And an NHL player should still be allowed to play hockey after a DV plea.
Wow eklund is at it again lol He has us interested in both Weber and Patches I would shutter to think how much that would cost us
Agreed We would be looking at Vilardi Clague 1st with maybe Gaborik to balance a bit of the cap. I hate to think what else****ing shoot me.
Weber is slowing down and Patches is flawed but they'd still bring an immense package.
I wouldn't even trade Gaborik straight up for Weber. Weber has 6 more years on his deal at almost $8 million. No thanks.Wow eklund is at it again lol He has us interested in both Weber and Patches I would shutter to think how much that would cost us
No way he plays all that and when he retires Nashville will be on the hook for it not us. Also that mostly just cap hit real dollars are different. It would be interesting for the next couple of years of having him or drew on the ice for 90% of the game. Also Weber would help our pp a lot but not at the loss of our best young prospects.I wouldn't even trade Gaborik straight up for Weber. Weber has 6 more years on his deal at almost $8 million. Cap hit is all that matters. Adding that would require some major other moves to just sign Doughty. No way he plays all that and when he retires Nashville will be on the hook for it not us. Ok well 5-6 more years at $8 million a season. Sure the cap is going to go up but how much longer until he's a 3rd pair/PP specialist? He is sloooooow already. He's still a really good d-man but the length of the deal kills it for me. Not worth it in my opinion. If Montreal wants to retain $2 million then I'd entertain a trade depending on what they want back though. No way he plays all that and when he retires Nashville will be on the hook for it not us. I agree we pass as well but i do like the thought of doughty and weber as our top two right defense man It would be incredible to be able to reduce drews mins and make him more effective in the ones he plays.Cap hit is all that matters. Pass!
Oh come the **** on Stevens.
I hope we get murdered tonight.

Why lineup tinker when the last game they played was probably their best team effort all season.
I would love Weber on the Kings since he's always been one of my favorite players and him and Doughty playing 50 minutes a night would be awesome. But the length and cap hit make him not worth it. It's kind of like Kopitar. How many teams would really trade for him? Maybe only a few because of the cap hit, the length of his contract, and his age. I actually proposed the Kings should've built something around Voynov and Toffoli to get Weber during the 2014 season. Kind of stupid considering how badly the Kings needed scoring but I wanted Weber haha.I agree we pass as well but i do like the thought of doughty and weber as our top two right defense man It would be incredible to be able to reduce drews mins and make him more effective in the ones he plays.
Totally agree it would depend on cost If we could get them to retain as well I think Weber for 6 -6.5 would be doable especially getting rid of Gaborik s cap 4.85 the difference would be doable imo Yes he will suck by the end but imo this would open a window again for another cup run. Worth it hard to say but fun to think about to meOk well 5-6 more years at $8 million a season. Sure the cap is going to go up but how much longer until he's a 3rd pair/PP specialist? Yup, screw the dad's trip. Fly them out to LA and have them watch a game next time their son is in the lineup. Points are way too important. It's not a if the Kings have a 10 point lead between them and the first team out of the playoffs.Best all around effort of the season and we're going to bench 3 guys whose skill helped push the pace. Yep. I'm frustrated looking at that.

Like him or not (and i know its a not lol ) He is considered a source by hf boards He has his own thread marker so hes not bannedYou mean people still go over to Hockeybarf to check out that trash?
Always funny when I see someone write "I know it's Eklund so take it with a grain of salt but..."
Dude was downright embarrassing on Sportsnet during trade deadline day a few years back. I thought posting Eklund garbage was off limits on HF.
Montreal has no centers as it is so they'd most certainly require Vilardi to be the main piece of the trade. The only semi realistic trade I could come up with for Weber and Patches is:
Weber
Patches
for
Gaborik
Muzzin
Clague
Anderson-Dolan
2018 1st
Possibly another pick
Our Roster ends up, fully healthy:
Patches-Kopitar-Brown
Pearson-Carter-Toffoli
Iafallo-Kempe-Lewis
Clifford-Shore-Brodizinski
Andreoff, Amadio, Mitchell
Gravel-Doughty
Martinez-Weber
Forbort-Folin
LaDue
I'm not sure this makes us better, for now and future combined. Weber for Muzzin is a slightly greater than lateral move. Getting Patches makes us much stronger at forward, for now.
But this destroys our future, even more than it once was.
Not to mention, Montreal wouldn't even accept this modest deal. To make it really happen, Vilardi would have to be involved imo, which is a no go.
I think the 2016 trade deadline I opened up Eklund rumors only on a webpage and put a red X for wrong ones and a green check mark for the correct ones and I think out of 17 rumors he got 1 correct.Like him or not (and i know its a not lol ) He is considered a source by hf boards He has his own thread marker so hes not banned
Absolutely agree. I argued during the Dallas game there's no reason for Quick to start today considering his #'s vs Nashville and him possibly being banged up.And Quick, frankly. I love Quick, but why rush him back when Kuemper needs to play more anyway and is coming off a solid shutout??
Just hate these moves for today, no clue why he'd back out of doing the good thing he did with the other night's lineup and got the results he got. It's pretty much inexplicable.
I totally agree having Weber would reduce Drew having to play all the hard mins. It would allow him to go back to having Muzzin there instead of babysitting the rookie of the week. It would allow him to take more rushes up the ice if he had muzzin with him instead of rookies. Its nice to think about but it comes down to probably a couple of cup contending years and several rebuild years after it.Yeah, it makes a whole lot of sense. Having another guy who can play hard d minutes vs. top competition...instead of Forbort. Or hell, Weber-Forbort and allow DOughty-Muzzin to run free in the offensive zone. Keep in mind Drew is doing what he's doing with the worst starts and toughest comp on the team as well as top PK minutes with Forbort.
