Carolina also is looking for young scoring rather than a veteran LHD as well

At LHD they already have Slavin and Hanifin, with Fleury and Dahlbeck coming as well. Then Pesce, Faulk, TVR. Muzzin doesn't do anything for them but upset the balance especially if they're losing Faulk.

A good trade as I posted yesterday would be another Greene Stoll type trade.It would add to the defense and help on the offense side of the puck.Yes I know that trade happened in June during the off season before someone chimes in lol

So because one trade involved a younger player being traded for an older player, involving two completely different GM's and teams, that means every trade has to be done that way? I can flip the Subban/Weber trade around, and prove that Carolina shouldn't make a Faulk for Muzzin trade. At least Montreal could slide Weber into Subban's spot on the ice. Carolina couldn't.

Yeah but you never posted what that trade would be. You have zero problem trying to criticize everyone trying to make sense of what you're saying, but you never actually make a full proposal yourself. Why don't you give it a try since you seem to know something everyone else doesn't?

No, Canes wouldn't do that. Faulk is being shopped because the Canes are that deep in talented young d, both on the club and on the farm. And what they don't have and desperately need and have been shopping (faulk ) for is a #1 C.
And he's the blue chip that can possibly be packed to get them one.

I don't agree with the Mayor's take on Blake 'in it to win now' and not planning for the future. Is contradicts what Futa said recently regarding trading to replace what was lost in Carter , he said (and I heard the conviction in his voice) that 'no' they aren't looking to trade and will shop in house for young players to fill that role.
So I don't agree with the Mayor that Blake is going to make trade(s) this year because the Kings 'have to win' and his job is on the line.

This team is not a contender and doesn't have the depth on the roster to make the changes that would vault them into that category. And trading youth and picks for that 'difference maker/vet' player rarely works. And if anything, it's why Blake and Luc are in that office, because of DL's bad decisions.
BEst way to pave the path to success it thru the draft. A process they started last year and will continue to replant the barren garden.

And watching KYle Conner the other night, I kept thinking, 'you're wearing the wrong colors'

Unfortunately bossman i'm not being paid or in charge of negotiating trades for the Kings to give you a in depth idea.I can only observe and point out the holes I see and others have spotted on the roster for nearly three years now.I gave you a idea of the type of move (Greene/Stoll) type trade that could patch two holes on this roster.I got no time to go thru 30 teams rosters matching their needs to players.You seem to be yearning players names for trades.Maybe you can take that curiosity and match some names of players to the type of numbers Stoll and Greene put up lol

Martinez for Bjugstad + Petrovic

Martinez is good enough to bring in two players? Why do people say he's unable to handle more ice time then? Visnovsky had more points in the 3 years prior to going to Edmonton than Martinez has in his whole career.

It's always funny when guys like Muzzin and/or Martinez are the key to getting the missing players they need. We endlessly complain about Muzzin, and Martinez can't handle a larger role, but other teams will give a bunch of stuff for them.
