Actually, the Oiler fans aren't too far off regarding Kopitar's value vs Draisaitl.

The Kings do have one big chip to trade, and he isn't playing all that great right now. I'll let you figure out who it is, but they could get a boat load in return in a trade with the right team.

I'm not bumping down Iafallo for the bum that is Galchenyuk.

I'd roll Kempe-Galchenyuk-Gaborik for the 3rd line; though it greatly lacks a solid defensive presence.

i was just doing the trendy thing of LD RD place them however you see fit

regardless of the trade, the piece that LA will have to give up will be a D for an O

so name your forward, the D will have to take a hit

sacrificing 2-1 losses for potential 4-3 wins? i'd take it

I honestly think its time to look at moving Iafallo down to 3rd line. I think hes hit a wall and his getting tired. I think he need to ease up on his minutes and provide a spark on the 3rd line This will happen when Gaborik is back. Something like

Gaborik kopitar brown
pearson kempe toffoli
iafallo Jokienen brodzinski
andreoff shore lewis

I don't see Gal as someone that will provide that big a boost to our offense. Right now i want to wait to see how Gaborik plays when he comes back that might be the boost to the offense we need If not we can get better for Muzzin

We apparently acquired Torrey Mitchell from Montreal for a 5th round pick
 
Expectation is LAK will soon be returning 2017 1st rounder Gabe Vilardi to WDR of OHL. Vilardi hasn’t played this season due to injury rehab but is probably two to four weeks away from being cleared to play games.

I know we just grabbed Mitchell for the bottom 6 but another guy I really like is Josh Leivo (Tor). Wouldn't hedge to guess what the cost would be, don't like to suggest trades but he would be another nice piece for a bottom 6. Leafs have some real strong forward depth within their organization so he's in the press box most nights.

Also like Soshnikov and Kapanen.
 
The Leafs just extended Leivo. It was a modest extension IIRC but it means we’d probably have to over pay.

Can’t disagree with that. The good thing is Iafallo means we can ease Gaborik in gradually. He’d certainly be able to take his pp minutes fairly quickly whilst playing slightly easier opponents 5/5 until he gets back in the groove.

Clifford is very close to returning as well.

That leaves Brodzinski, Laich, Andreoff, and Dowd on the bubble. Brodz can go down without having to clear and I'm guessing Laich's time is up? Unless they decide to move Dowd/Andreoff.

with the kings acquiring 2 player that play mostly center i would think dowd is most likely gone. Andreoff for better or worse has his spot on the roster garenteed i think

You lose speed by putting Gabs on the first line.Iafallo isn't a third line winger.The solution is the suck it up and go get your scoring winger.The core is getting older.Lombardi dumpster diving for Mitchell or Jokinen isn't even a solution, it's a joke.Got to give to get and get over it.

Carter will return to his centering the second line and Kempe will probably be placed on the wing on the third line or center it.
