I mean cammy is and always has been the clearly more talented player, but let's be real, he's a bad bottom sixer unless he has someone feeding him a puck. hes small and slow albeit talented. Maybe if it were march and the line was cammalleri-kempe-gaborik it would be a harder trade to make but right now JJ is the superior 'fit' by talent

Some tweaks to the color-coded lines today: Pearson-Kempe-Lewis, Andreoff-Shore-Toffoli, Jokinen-Dowd-Brodzinski, Crescenzi-Laich-Gaborik.

Blake please get help.

Andreoff makes Dwight King look like Jarri Kurri
Now i am not a huge fan of either player but if King played the same amount of mins Andreoff did he would probably still be on the kings. Also if he played with the same physical play andreoff plays at he would be here. Two totally different players. King played way more mins then andreoff therefore more should be expect out of him.

Point is that King wasn't a completely brain dead player but we all eviscerated him whenever he was put on a line with skill players. Now we've got Andreoff skating with Toffoli, plus he was getting work with the 2nd line last night.

I love fighting and the guys that do it. It takes a special kind of suck for me to not want a fighter in the lineup. Andreoff is probably the first one in my entire lifetime. Another great example of him enforcing last night...clueless with the puck, without the puck and at the one thing he's supposedly in the lineup for, which is "enforcing" when needed.

I don't think I've ever seen a Kings player just absolutely flub more golden slot opportunities than Andreoff and that's saying something.

I've seen guys shoot into crests or just wide or something, but at least they get a shot off, not just fumble the puck stupidly into the side boards or fire the puck 90 degrees the wrong direction.

Seriously f*** this guy, he can't be off this team soon enough.

Trevor Lewis says hi. Other then this year Lewis was missing the net on breakaways or hitting goalies crests a lot. This is not to say that Andreoff is much better just saying Lewis was doing the same thing alot. Difference however we can forgive Lewis because he stops as many as he misses littererlly

But he gets the shot off.

The puck turns into a hand grenade the second it hits Andreoff's stick.

Sometimes I have dreams about playing hockey, and my brain, in sleep mode, can't process the speed properly. So when I go to shoot, the puck will kind of just die, or it'll feel like I'm hitting a bag of sand or something.

That's how Folin shoots, everytime. There was one last night, ho boy. I had to pinch my arm.

The Kings haven't changed, but the perception of them has perhaps. A large majority of the same parts as last year but with a new coach, GM and philosophy. New system is fine, but like any system, it's the pieces within making it work that's the difference. Starting off on that winning streak was huge, it was just what they needed to do, putting points in the bank, and taking advantage of the fact most of the teams not named Knights (before the triple goalie collapse) got off to slow starts. That was going to change and will continue to do so as the season wears on. They are a good team, not a great one and their lack of depth is telling. And most of that early success, those first 10 games or so, came off offense provided by Brown, Kopi and muzzin. And they need to do better at ES. Iaffalo and Kempe are fine, good young players who are adjusting to the big leagues, it doesn't happen in a hurry, for most newbies, it takes well into their 3rd year before they settle in. Futa said the week after Carter got hurt, when asked about their top 6/forward depth if the Kings would be looking for help. He said no, they will work from within. I think the brain trust knows what this team is and what they're not, They are trying to build a better future thru the draft and that will work.

And clearly the miss the threat of Carter, even though he had gotten off to a slow start, he's a legit threat every time he crosses the blueline and w/o that, they are handicapped. Their top prospects are not NHL top prospects for the most part and DL questionable decisions the last few years has left the cupboard a bit bare but that will change. They have a good group of young d and more coming. BUt it takes time.

I know he's trying to find a way to produce more offense , but I wish Stevens would keep lines together. Success , esp for young players comes from stability and juggling the pieces too much usually only produces frustration. Put together a top 9 and let them alone.

And that injury of Carter's is a tricky one, I think the Feb prediction is hopeful. Lots of changes f or him, his wife had a baby last week, 1 week after their son turned 1. That's a big change...

Win some, lose some, don't really care, what bothered me since 2014 was the staleness and failure to give the kids in Ontario/Manchester a real chance.

This year Kempe has emerged as an NHL player, MacDermid has shown he might have an NHL career, Fattenberg made the team straight from the KHL, we have seen Brodzinski, Crescenzi, Amadio all play. We have seen Andreoff step in admirably for Clifford. (by the way Jared Boll is out indefinitely after that fight)

I am fine with this direction and finally happy they are giving the kids a shot.

Past results is no guarantee of future performance.

I think I have seen that on every investment account statement I have ever received.

I think people forgot how important Jeff Carter is to this team because of the success we initially had after his injury. The moment Carter went down, I knew that this team has to basically survive and try to be in a playoff spot come next year February. Fortunately, we stockpiled so many points at the beginning of the season that we are remarkably still in first place. We likely will fall from first place within a couple of days, but we just need to keep on fighting until Carter is back. With Carter back, this will be a whole different team and with different line combinations that will be far more productive.

Did anyone really forget how important carts is? It will be interesting to see how good carter is when he comes back.

Older player- check, injury that affects skating/ speed- check, long layoff- check.

Hes probably going to be shit until next season.
