im really curious to see if Kempe Amadio Rieder will play together

for a 3rd line, there's a lot of potential there

One thing I'm sure of is Clifford should definitely be the odd man out. After that it's a crap shoot. I think one of the kids come out for a vet, but I'd rather see brod and amadio both stay in.

Ideally they go with whoever is performing the best once Lewis and Carter are back and not just give a spot to a guy like Clifford

Andreoff is playing great. I wouldn’t deal him. AA can make plays. Clifford is the odd man out. He’s nowhere as talented as Andreoff is. Clifford is a drive to the net chip in type player. He barely fights and when he does he loses. Andreoff has taken on guys like Boll and Haley and done pretty well.

I think MacDermid has a chance if Folin leaves as a UFA next year. Kings will ice...Doughty, Muzzin, Martinez, Phaneuf and Forbort as the top 5 for sure. Then you have LaDue, Gravel and MacD all fighting for the 6 and 7 spots. Which ones are waiver eligible? I don’t know.

Andreoff has been useless his entire time as an LA King. Just because he's played well for the past week doesn't mean we should keep him. Trade him while his value is at it's highest. Also good luck finding someone that'll take Clifford's 1.6M cap hit.

All, including Fantenberg if he inks another 2 way, are subject to waivers. None will be waiver exempt.

Amadio and Brodzinski are the reasons Andreoff has been playing the way he has...

man, i would really hate to lose macdermid

it's not so much his defense, it's just the ability to ice a mean son of a bitch like that

ladue and gravel handily outplay him as far as what coaches like so i'd venture a guess he's the odd man out

Andreoff got dropped by Haley.

He looked good against Boll. That's it.

isn't it a bitch that AA finally has been playing like we thought he would when he came up, and it and might help us get a 3rd or 4th for him if we cant add him to a pkg., but it really is a shame if broz and amadio are benched or worse their forecheck has kept the team engage thru all the lines , bodes wll for the future

I understand the waiver situation with Amadio but what’s the point in keeping three of Clifford, Andreoff and Thompson? Decide which one you like and then move on from atleast one of the other guys.

Amadio is better as a 3c than either Kempe or Lewis and Blake is making the team worse if he sends him down so he can hold onto run of the mill players like Clifford, Thompson and Andreoff.

I think for now Brodzinski may go down but would be called up if we suffered an injury to a top 9 forward

Curious to see the line up tomorrow.

Clifford is easily the forward with zero offensive abilities. Maybe they look to move him I hope.

I also don't understand the Brodzinski hype. He's another guy that's only played well the past week or so. Isn't the guy suppose to be a scorer? He has a worse PPG than Clifford. For the most part of his time in LA he's played small and timid. I wouldn't be upset if we moved him either. He at least has some value right?

I wouldn't call it 'hype' any more than I would with Andreoff, but it seems counterproductive to wait until either guy plays well and then tank them.

Both guys have played very well lately and together and that's important, but in Brodz' case, he's shown massive growth in his role, using his actual skating to cause turnovers and his skill to create offense. He's definitely more skilled than the average (or even good) 4th-liner and it's important to be able to win that matchup. If we get better players fine, but acting like he's a finished product 39 games into his NHL career and using that PPG to extrapolate his ability isn't a fair assessment of where he's been lately and possibly going.

I have said the same exact thing for years but I actually just start to like the guy (not since the past week or so). Basically because he is able to play on the lower lines.

I dont think he holds much value, so you can better keep him.

The forwards I want most traded in order would be:

1. Andreoff (He's useless aside from the past week.)
2. Brodzinski (It looks like he just doesn't fit in, reminds me of Vey/Weal.)
3. Clifford (He's overpaid; not by a ton but still making too much.)
4. Thompson (Solid 4C, can win face-offs, play PK, does have a higher cap but he's somewhat worth it.)
5. Toffoli/Pearson (They need to wake the f*** up; they've been invisible for way too long now.)

As for Torrey Mitchell he's been pretty stellar for us. He's going to be a UFA and I don't see him re-signing with us.

If I recall correctly Brodziski had a similar start in Ontario. I remember thinking he was gonna be a bust, and then, all of sudden he figured it out and started scoring at a high rate. It seems this maybe a similar
case in the NHL. I'm not saying he'll score as much in the NHL as he did in the American League. But he still could prove to be a solid third line goal scorer. I definitely wouldn't move him.

I'd expect one of Clifford or Andreoff to be traded or waived in next couple day.

Although, it's possible they move no one. There's no more roster limit after the deadline and the Kings have the cap space to keep everyone on the roster. This of course depends on when Carter/Lewis come of IR.

Unless they make another move to upgrade scoring, I think they just will keep everybody for the playoff run and then move some of the bottom 6 and bottom pairing glut at the draft.

I doubt MacDermid gets traded, he has the Manson potential. Big, tough, and coachable. Last night he was a +4. Blake is all about asset management and if Clifford and/or Andreoff continue to contribute he won't waive them. + its better have these guys as 13th and 14 th forwards. He might trade one, but LA like to have atleast one guy who drop the gloves and be decent. And while Phaneuf is ok in that department, he not the player i want doing that. He is too important to the team and needs to be on the ice. Btw i love that he and Martinez look great together. Hopefully Muzzin can get back to LaDue and 3rd pairing, since Forbort is back with Doughty.

What's the rush to trade guys? Right offer comes along, sure. Rosters expand though. Guys can still get hurt after the deadline. They still have waiver exempt players. No need to trade anyone if they don't want to.

I believe Blake was quoted as saying it’ll be
Kempe - Lewis - Rieder

It can be a lot of things. I'm sure it will be, until they find the right set. That line may or may not work. They'll surely hardly ever win a faceoff.
