Duby is a C. But I'd actually love him on this team as much as I hate him elsewhere. He's a f***ing asshole and we could use some more of that. Sticking up for teammates, good scoring touch, etc. Could do a LOT worse than have him at 3C with Kempe and Lewis on the wing, that would be glorious.

Columbus recently sent him home to deal with his off-ice problems.
 
This team is easy to play against which is why Phaneuf/Thompson make sense while moving Gaborik's contract and maybe the softest player on the team in Shore.

The run towards the playoffs is going to be a physical one in the West and the Kings were going to get trucked. They still might but they at least have a little more sandpaper out there.

Someone on the Kings for the first time in 2-3 seasons will actually dare try to hit Johnny Hockey or McDavid or Pavelski or Perry??

What to they have to compete in the UFA sweepstakes honestly?
 
If the Kings are going to use assets they best be getting a younger player with a lil term in their contract.Hate just throwing away assets to see them walk at the end of the season.

Yeah I can't imagine a world in which we're giving up futures without getting at least potential futures or term. Please no to rentals that cost more than a 5th.

Sometimes you have to trade a young player before the rest of the league finds out how overatted that player is. Sort of like what Dean did with Hudson Fasching, or what Boston did with Hamilton, or what Minnesota did with O'Sullivan.

Management has to make an evaluation on Forbort. Is he really this bad? Or is it just a hiccup in his development? He was solid last year. If they don't think he's going to improve, then you have to trade him while he's still somewhat well regarded around the league. He has a high pedigree and the physical attributes teams and scouts love. He might get a better return than people expect.

The same evaluation has to be made on Toffoli.
 
I’m gonna say Forbort, Brodzinski, and a 2nd in 2019 for Sheary and Cole.


I was reading on the hockey subreddit, a Pittsburgh fan mentioned how the kings were heavily scouting the penguins, up until Sheary was injured...obviously could just be by chance, but interesting none the less.

You'd think the Kings would be done adding to the backend now that they have Phaneuf in the fold.

Don't know how inclined the Pens would be to trade Sheary.

I'd still maintain someone like Grabner would be who they are looking at but it's all moot if they play like ass leading up to the deadline. Why even make another addition.

If we're trading Forbot I want pick(s) and/or prospect(s). Same goes for Martinez. Islanders could be a good trading partner.
 
Imo grabner would be the best fit to play with kempe. They would have a ton of speed on the third line with Lewis as the safety valve.

Didn't he get his shit pushed in recently, like a broken eye socket or something? We'd probably end up getting the scrambled eggs version.
