You cant make an argument for either. Galchenyuk hasnt been able to prove he is a 1C yet and its almost been 4 years since he was drafted. Monahan is younger and has proven he can be a 1C.

Not really, he's not even the worst player named on the 16 man roster. In fact he's probably right around the middle of the pack.

RNH has been pretty meh this year. He was phenomenal last year with Eberle. Not bad but not great either.

Draisaitl and Hall carried the team for a good chunk of the year. They probably expected more from him.

I think they are pretty good friends aswell and hang out from what i've read from Ekblads twitter.

JTM deserved to make it. Didn't think he'd be on the initial 16 as its more for the big names, but there should be no complaints about his addition on the team. He thoroughly deserves it.

Jt Miller has been good for this season only.

I understand your frustration.

But as someone who has watched Miller a lot, he is one of those players that has jumped 2 levels this year. Remember, he was a first round draft pick.

Nevertheless, he is a very smart two-way player that is finally finding his offensive game. He is fast and hits everything he sees.

It must also be noted that he is playing with great players in a great atmosphere...

His confidence is high, and I think that had something to do with the pick.

Are you saying he isn't good enough for this team or that he should be on Team USA? If it's the latter, he's not eligible to play for USA if the North American team wants him on their team. Just like McDavid can't play for Canada.

Last year RNH and Toews were the only 2 tough comp Cneters top 3 in groups EVG and EVP.

PC says he played hurt for 4 weeks the period of time were all his -ve goal dif numbers come from.

How does PC reward him.
By selecting a whole collection of young forwards who rack there points against soft opposition but need a large jar of prison lube when they face first comp.

Rnh needs to tell Tmac and PC his Agent will provide a list of the 3rd and 4th comp players he will play against the rest of the year.

Cause being a heart and charater willing to face the best does not matter to PC.

I think if JT Miller continued to play as well as he has been and ended up making the team nobody would be surprised or upset, but I still think it's fair to to be surprised he was already named. He deserves it though and I think he's a worthy selection.

For anyone mentioning Couturier and how other players are better than him, just stop. He is this teams Bergeron. Couturier is the only player eligible who has a hope of neutralizing the opposing top lines in this tournament. His defensive play is vital to the success of this team. I'm not saying he's the best player, but he is arguably the most important.

Nuge is a veteran of the Western conference as a #1C and is great defensively. Seems weird to leave him off. Miller is another odd decision.

MacKinnon-McDavid-Larkin could be one of the fastest lines in NHL history though.

RNH has been injured and sick for much of this year. Not naming him to the top 16 is no big deal.
