It's just the preliminary roster. He can still make the team. Can't imagine he'll slot in as a center over McDavid, Eichel, Monahan and Couturier though. Can he play wing effectively?

Imo nuge is better than Monahan and Couturier. But obviously there is some bias there as an oiler fan and offensively he was having a down year and is now injured. And in terms of if he can play wing I have no clue, the oilers have never played him there.

monohan over galchenyuk ? no way
gaudreau over galchenyuk ? no way

Gaudreau is 6th in league scoring.
Monahan has the same amount of points in 38 less NHL games, along with a 30 goal 30 assist season.

Could you please elaborate on you're reasoning sir?

What the hell is Saad doing in that team? The are at least four lines of better forwards for the proper American team available?

Nuge is a veteran of the Western conference as a #1C and is great defensively. Seems weird to leave him off. Miller is another odd decision.

MacKinnon-McDavid-Larkin could be one of the fastest lines in NHL history though.

Hes as happy with the jersey as he was being drafted by Edmonton LOL

Why say things like this when you know what the response will be?

McDavid was probably told to look serious. And besides, he has that look 98% of the time.

Well, it will be international tournament history

Jt Miller over galchenyuk and Hopkins is a head scratcher. So is not having ghost on the roster

I'm sure Nuge will make it. If he plays wing I could see him playing on a shutdown line with Couturier. Still think he's a better fit at centre than Monahan though just because it gives you a Centre with a capable 2-way game on all 4 lines (McDavid, Eichel, Nuge, Couturier), but as we always see in these types of tournaments the lines are as good as anyones guess.

I know it's a small sample size, but Ghost has already outperformed the career highs, offensively, of any of those guys named. It's not like those guys are studs on the defensive side, either. IMO Jones and Murray, particularly, went ahead of him based on name and prestige.

You know that Ekblad was 18 in his rookie year right? not fair comparing Ghost to him when hes 4 years older then Ekblad was in his rookie season.

And Ekblad is a stud on D should not come as a suprise to anyone really.

And im not taking away anything from Ghost as the year hes having is incredible.
