We can still win games in this tournament, but Quick/Bishop/Schneider better be ready to have to bail this team's *** time and time again.

I don't really see this team giving up a ton of scoring chances. I think it will be excellent defensively and the goaltending is top notch. I'm just not sure how the scoring is going to go though. Guys like Parise are going to have to step up.

Jack Johnson? Jesus Christ man, I thought the baseball guys were bad with the old boys club.

Tyler Johnson and Kessel not making this team is an embarrassment. Whoever put this team together clearly isn't watching the playoffs. With how good Pittsburgh has been it is absolutely shocking that neither of Kessel or Letang made their teams.

Edit: is Torts the coach? Certainly showing a lot of favouritism towards his boys then...

Torts is going to play boring hockey and his hire was bad. Not surprised he picked Callahan and Dubinsky but he should have taken Kessel. Criminal not to.

I don't mind EJ or Niskanen. JJ should not be on the team though.

Yup. Completely agree. I can understand the arguments of EJ and Niskanen over Yandle, Fowler, Shattenkirk and Faulk given their respective styles of play.

No reason for JJ over any of the 4 guys omitted. They are all better in every aspect.

And no reason to add both Cally and Dubi and leave both TJ and Kessel off. Doesn't make any sense.

They'll rarely have the puck. JJ will very likely play and he's a dumpster fire on possession. They won't have many players who are good possession players beyond their top 2 lines. They'll give up a ton of chances. It will be ugly if Quick(who realistically is their 3rd best goalie) doesn't play the games of his life.

I don't mind them either, I just mind them over Shattenkirk, Faulk, and Yandle.

JJ, on the other hand, shouldn't even be allowed to fuel up the team plane let alone have a seat on it. Total joke.

Shattenkirk did not have a very good year and was a train wreck defensively in the playoffs. Yandle just isn't looked at favorably by USA Hockey. Faulk's exclusion is a puzzler though.

I am at a complete loss for words.

Jack Johnson, Erik Johnson, and Matt Niskanen over Justin Faulk, Cam Fowler, Keith Yandle, and Kevin Shattenkirk.

Callahan, Dubinsky, and JDR over Kessel, Johnson, Okposo, Nelson, and Palmieri.

Abdelkader being in the team in the first place.

I can't believe what I'm seeing right now.

Unbelievable selections.

Its really insane the team USA that was picked.

If you are scouting Callahan and you are at the Tampa game how do you say yeah he's better than number 9. Its just insanity.

He checks guys hard from behind and blocks shots with such intensity. Dat grit is unmatched

Didnt somebody say that Usa wont win Canada if they dont have players like Dubinsky and Callahan on their team...? I must be the only one who thinks this is good team.

I would not be surprised at all if this USA team is unable to generate offense.

I respect the production of Pacioretty and Wheeler, as well as JVR, but how many times have we seen these big long stride scorer's come into a best-on-best international and look out of place because they dont have the space to get their footspeed going?

Im not saying each of those three will suck, but if you are expecting them to be driving the offense after Kane and Pavelski, expect at least 1 of them to let you down.

Kessel is a proven scorer who can break a game open with little space. So can Tyler Johnson. Those are the type of guys you need to mix in.

Also, with no Faulk and Shattenkirk, you guys are losing a LOT of offence from the D-line
